The Conversatory

The notes were like a whisper, delicate and ephemeral filling the air with a hauntingly beautiful melody before it began to rise, the air was tense and everyone held their breath at the performance. It was as if a single sound would break such beautiful atmosphere.

Phoenix rested his head on Zane's shoulder as he slept beautifully next to him. Zane watched him, he did not want to sound like a poet but Phoenix was even more breathtaking, than the performance in front of him. He reached out and shifted a strand of hair away from Phoenix's face before he looked back at the woman who was playing the violin on top of the stage.

Her fingers moved swiftly across the strings before it suddenly stopped. When the song ended, the entire audience was silent for a few minutes before a thunderous applause broke out.

Phoenix yawned, his lashes fluttered as he opened his eyes, his vison fixed on Zane and he smiled, "Is it over?"
