Frank

Frank logged out after he paid for the book, Serenity's Elixir: Banishing the Curse of Nightmares. He climbed out of the game capsule and went to his window, opening it slightly. There were still people that were outside, three men and women with terrifying expressions waiting for him to come out.

He closed the window and looked at his empty and silent house, clenching his fist. Just three weeks ago, his home had been filled with laughter and joy. He had a large farm that used a capable robot to grow what his family of four ate and his job at the preparatory school had been going very well, in fact, he was due for another promotion.

Everything changed when the Melrose Estate company visited him and said that they wanted to buy the house and farm.

Their compensation was lower than what the farm was actually worth, not to mention that his family had lived in this place for more than five generations so Frank refused immediately.
