"I'll take these please." Hikaru said as he handed a bento to the cashier who scanned it right away.
"Please place your student ID on the counter to make the transaction." The cashier said Hikaru places his student ID on the scanner situated on the counter.
"Thank you for your patronage!" The cashier said with a smile as Hikaru collected his bento and proceeded to walk out of the Convenience Store. But before he could do that, a fight broke out in front of the convenience store.
"You are looking down on me? Huh!?" The Red-Haired boy yelled at the three students in front of him, who judging from the way they talked, were upperclassmen.
"You're in Class 1-D, aren't you?"
"And what if I am!?"
"Now, that's no way to talk to your seniors."
"Shut Up! I don't care if you are my seniors! You want to fight or not?" Red-Head said as he took a fighting stance.
"I'll take all three of you!"
"Huh? He is from our class isn't he?" Kiyotaka said to the beautiful black-haired girl in front of him who was getting her items scanned.
"My integrity would take a dive if I involved myself in that." The girl replied.
"Well, bring it on!"
"Tch! We will let you off easy today. You are all defective losers after all." The three boys said as they prepared to leave.
"Who are you calling defective losers, huh?" Hikaru said as he stared at the three upperclassmen.
"Huh? Who are you?"
"Just a fellow student of Class 1-D, which you just insulted. Do explain to me as to how we are just Defective Losers."
"Heh, isn't being in the lowest-ranked class enough for you?"
"Hmm, does that even prove anything? From what I just saw, you were just ganging up on a kouhai. Was that exemplary behaviour I wonder."
"Shut up, we are at least better than you defective losers."
"As I just asked you, in what aspect are you better than me or rather my whole class?"
"Just shut the hell up punk!" One of the boys yelled as he tried to punch Hikaru.
"Resorting to violence now that you can't answer your kouhai's question doesn't seem like something a respected senpai such as you would do now, am I correct senpai?" Hikaru said as he dodged the punch. [Kouhai is the Japanese for Underclassman.]
"Shut the hell up! You are pissing me off now!" The other two said as they started throwing punches at Hikaru too.
"I expected you to be more civil senpai, but it seems that isn't the case." Hikaru said as he continued to dodge the punches being thrown at him.
"There are quite a lot of CCTV camera's here, just saying." Hikaru said as the three boys stopped throwing punches at Hikaru and looked at each other with uncertainty in their eyes.
"Quite a lot of eye-witnesses too." Hikaru said he looked at the crowd that had gathered from the commotion.
"Tch!" The three boys said as they walked away.
"Man, thanks for helping me even though I didn't need it." The red-haired boy said as he walked up to Hikaru as the crowd dissipated.
"It's alright, we are classmates after all. Now that I think about it, what's your name?"
"Oh yeah, I didn't introduce myself this morning. Sorry about that, that brown-haired riajuu just irritated me. My name is Ken Sudo." Ken said. [Riajuu is basically a Japanese term for a popular guy.]
"It's nice to meet you Sudo-san and in case you didn't pay attention to my introduction this morning, my name is Hikaru Akiyama."
"Alright, I'll go to my dorm now. I am quite sleepy after all and well, wanna exchange contact information?"
"Sure." Hikaru said as the duo exchanged their contact information before walking away.
"That was quite dramatic." Kiyotaka said.
"It really was. He was dodging the punches quite smoothly and taunted them while not even retaliating once. He wasn't just some violent fool." The black-haired girl said as she walked out of the Convenience Store.
"Indeed."
"I would like to redeem my access card please." Hikaru said as he walked up to the reception.
He was currently inside one of the Dormitories where the students lived. There were 4 building units that serve as the student's dormitories. Each of the units is a 15-storey building comprised of not less than 140 rooms that are individually divided among students. The first seven floors above the ground floor are dedicated to male students while the upper seven floors are for female students. Boys are technically not allowed to enter the area where the girls live after 8 pm.
Currently, Hikaru was issuing his access card according to the rule cum guide book provided to him by the school.
"Here it is. Your room number is 709. Please do not lose your access card at any costs as it can lead to many problems." The receptionist said as she passed a green-coloured card and a manual to Hikaru.
"I'll keep that in mind." Hikaru said as he walked towards the elevator while reading the manual which gave instructions regarding the electricity, laundry etcetera.
"Alright, time to get some work done." Hikaru said as he entered his room. But before he could continue, the doorbell rang.
"Hikaru! Wanna have dinner together?" Ai who was on the other side of the door asked Hikaru.
"Sure, come inside." Hikaru said as he opened the door, letting Ai enter before closing it.
"How was your day milord?" Ai asked as she switched her personality.
"It was okay. Just some minor incidents. Nothing too drastic."
"Is that so. Do you require my assistance with anything milord?"
"Nothing at the moment."
"I understand." Ai said as she bowed a little.
"Why don't we have dinner together? I can see that you have brought your dinner with you and it's 7:15 currently, plenty of time until curfew." Hikaru said.
"I won't dare to."
"You do know that you are my childhood friend right now, right? And childhood friends do eat together."
"I-I don't know."
"Just eat with me." Hikaru said as he sat down and laid the portable table he found inside one of the closets.
