24 Hours of Tragedy Part II
It took almost two hours for Camila to find Paul. She'd waited in front of his house for a while, hoping he'd show up, but she gave up and decided to check the park.
He was lying on the grass, fast asleep.
Camila slowly approached and shook her head.
Only Paul would be able to fall asleep in such a public place.
She kicked him twice and he slowly opened his eyes, sat up and just stared at her.
"Hello."
"Hey, may I sit with you?"
"You may always sit with me."
Camila sat and rested her head on his shoulder as they watched the sun set together.
"You shouldn't let that fat prick get to you."
He was silent for a few seconds before he replied.
"Of course not. I care more about what you and my friends say than what that pig says. I just really wish he hadn't said that."
Camila smiled sadly, knowing what he was talking about.
She took Paul's hands between hers and said nothing.
Paul couldn't help but go back to that horrible morning.
The smoke. The shrill ringing in his head. His mother screaming. His father's eternal smile.
"Paul? Paul?? Are you ok?"
Paul blinked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry I stormed out like that, I just didn't want to snap."
Camila kissed his hands. "Well, then, I'm very proud of you for not giving Clarke what he wanted. He's not worth your breath."
"You always know how to make me feel better." said Paul.
"I was born to make you happy...."
Camila answered in a sing-song voice which made Paul chuckle.
"I think I'll go home." said Paul. "We should go visit Larry tomorrow."
Camila nodded. She kissed him and watched him leave, rolling her eyes when she felt someone behind her.
"Well, that was lovely."
The voice mocked her.
Camila already knew who it was.
She huffed.
"I don't have time for your bullshit today."
She turned around and left.
"That's okay, soon all your time will be mine." Julian mumbled as he watched Camila leave.
HOSPITAL
Sara was freaking out while Kai was trying to revive Larry with electroshock.
"Clear!" He yelled as, as he tried over and over to bring his friend back to life.
The team tried to revive Larry for almost twenty minutes.
Tears rolled down Sara's face as she saw Kai shaking his head and giving up, his eyes brimming with tears.
He slowly covered Larry's head with the white bed sheet.
