Time had passed quite quickly, more than he initially realized, but that's the incredible thing about life. Those who wanted to continue with martial arts were few; most stopped training when they entered university.
Dash, on his side, didn't continue studying. Fortunately, he had the means not to study to have a stable future, and his dreams were also focused on experiencing everything he had never been able to before.
At the end of the day, one had to consider if the path they took was the best, because when one grows old, they'll think about whether spending their years in a job they didn't like was right.
Everyone should choose the best path, or at least try it, since in this life, we only have one chance. This time, Dash seized life; he made friends and found an extraordinary girlfriend whom he loved dearly.
In the next few years, they traveled all over the world, experienced life, and could be anywhere they had ever wanted to visit. Dash never felt alone again; the dark memories were overshadowed by the good ones he made with Devon, who was by his side at all times.
Their love was mutual, the most sincere, and certainly something that very few could achieve, as not everyone is mature enough to understand what one could offer and what they expected from someone else.
Dash set aside his discomfort with his family, who changed a bit. They were determined to give everything to Dash because he was the best candidate, but he wasn't ready yet, and he made that clear every time he was asked.
"Keep practicing; don't give up." In a field outside a hospital, several terminally ill children were playing at being fighters.
Devon's eyes lovingly watched all these children, who were excited to see them. "I never thought they would know us; they even admire us."
"We won gold medals for our country; they probably saw us on TV when we were competing." Dash, by her side, was painting a picture of Sakura with a wide smile.
Life had treated him really well, although there were probably many more deserving and better people. He had regretted many things throughout his life, but that's life, and there was nothing he could do to change it.
"They're all angels who will have a second chance to live their lives; they will be happy." Dash said with a smile, setting aside a painting of a Sakura tree.
"Who wants to play?"
"Me!"
Devon smiled and ran towards Dash to join in the fun.
...
Five years later,.
Las Vegas, UFC Arena.
"With an impeccable record of 34 victories by KO, the formidable Dash Hale enters the UFC arena as a true titan! Known as the fighter who shows no mercy against his opponents."
Dash looked at all the titles in his hands and turned his head to see Devon looking at him with a smile.
This was his last fight; he had never been defeated by anyone except Devon, who had defeated him in many different ways.
