Chapter 2: Fallen engineer

Reid cooper is an engineer that was fired because of an departement head that needed more money for his mistress. The manager accused him of being lazy and a pain to work with.

"I'm not lazy. I work just as hard as any employer you have. I don't know where you got the idea but i'm not lazy and certainly not an pain to work with. Ask any of my colleagues in the departement". Reid was very frustated. His boss fired him for no apperent reason. " From what i heard is that Sally saw you sleeping on your workstation, that you scream every time and that you leer at your female coworkers". When the argument was getting no where Sally entered the room.

"Yesterday you were leering at my body you disgusting pervert" said sally in an disgusted tone.

"I did no such thing" Reid screamed. "You will grab your belongings and i want you gone in an hour" said Dave the manager. While looking at them and shaking with rage he turned around and walked to his desk. He grabbed his Callum, Count Dooku, Invoker and Linhardt figurine, put them in a box. Walking downstairs down stairs he heard a door open above him.

"Yeah baby it worked perfectly. With him gone i have the money to increase your salary".

Reid looked up and saw Sally and Dave making out. "Thank you babe. We can finally afford that trip to Japan we always wanted to. Hope you can make some excuus to your stupid wife".

While this was happening Reid grabbed his phone and recorded the conversation. After a couple of minutes Reid thought he had enough evidence, he stopped recording, put his phone away and grabbed his box with his stuff. When lifting the box his Callum figurine fell out the box and made loud noise.

Dave and Sally stopped fooling around and looked downstairs. " HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING. MUST BEEN A WHILE YOU PIECE OF SHIT" screamed Dave. "GET HIM DAVE. HE MUST HAVE TAKEN FOTO'S OR SOMETHING" screamed Sally.

Dave ran downstairs towards Reid. Reid quickly dropped his box and ran downstairs. "COME BACK HERE YOU WORM". screamed Dave while running after Reid. The chase was happening. Reid reached the ground floor. Running through the reception and out of the main enterance. Running on the sidewalk he crossed the street while he wasn't.

"Look out" an elderly woman yelled. Looking on the street he saw an truck driving very fast towards him. The truck driver used the brakes and in an panick he pulled the steering wheele. The truck slippend and rolled over. This happened in seconds

"This is the end. If only those trashes weren't in my life. If there is an next life i will choose how to live with no one telling lies about me and ruining my life." The truck hit Reid and most of his bones were broken.

Bystanders called nine one one. They rushed to the accident, looked if the driver was okay. The driver fortunally just had some bruises. Searching for Reid the saw him bloodied with many bones sticking out of him. "Stay with me. Ambulancis are on the way".

Reid thought in his final moment "If only i could have an second chance". With that he slowly closed his eyes and stopped breathing. He died full of regret and pain.
