The Hurdle in Her Heart
Su Ruan could not hide her surprise upon hearing that Long Fei had left the town. She recalled Qin Ruo's words again and wondered if the man would be alright to stay away from the town.
She knew now that as a lake dragon, he had to be dependent on the lake water. In the past, the only reason he was able to hold on was because of her. But, now that he had left, Su Ruan could not help but feel guilty.
She should be the one who leaves.
Qin Ruo seemed to understand what was going through in Su Ruan's mind. She heaved a faint sigh but did not know what else she should say.
Her son had made his decision and she had to respect it. If she meddled too much in her son's relationship, perhaps, everything would backfire.
Qin Ruo was about to leave when she heard Su Ruan call her again.
