'Why should I care?' Karl thought, this question had been going on his mind again and again but he didn't know how to respond, 'what if humans are struggling?'Karl thought.

'no, if humans get weaker because of it another war may break out." Karl thought, he wanted the system to change, he understood that the lives of the people who didn't have power could not be changed that easily. 'Why do I care for the people I don't know, I have finally a chance to rise above, to gain power, to fight, to survive…' Karl's thought got interrupted by a blue flash around the room.

"Hey, did you find anything?" a man said to Amanda.

"No" Amanda said. "Nothing caught my eye."

"So, he didn't cheat with a mana artifact, maybe a natural talent?" the voice came from a more than 6 feet tall man, with a bald head and a tan skin.

"No talent either, Cliff." Amanda replied.

"So, how the hell did he spot the weak points of my clones?" cliff said angrily, he looked towards Amanda which made his anger vanish "I am sorry Miss Wheeler" cliff understood that he was short-tempered, he got angry easily but it didn't sit well with Miss Wheeler and he didn't want to anger her.' If she gets angry then…'cliff gulped down the saliva in his mouth and stopped thinking about what will happen if he angered Miss Wheeler.

"You know that I hate when people get angry, don't you?" Amanda wheeler said in a calm voice.

"y-yes, ma'am." cliff said, 'I wouldn't have believed any stories about her as she is very sweet and calm almost all the time but…' cliff had only witnessed once the crazy amount of power she held when she got almost angry, ' I tend to forget what she is capable off because of her short and sweet demeanor.' Cliff thought.

"Anyway, I didn't detect anything extraordinary" Miss Wheeler said "maybe you didn't conjure your clones properly and made the clones weakness apparent, and maybe the kid was just mana sensitive."

'But how could he exactly now know where the weak spot is?' cliff thought, he opened his mouth to continue but a blue flash started going around the room.

"We are going to land soon, let's continue on a different time." Amanda wheeler said as she took off.

ALL PASSENGERS SHOULD HOLD THEIR POSITION UNTIL THE LANDING

A robotic voice came through the speakers in the room while flashes blue light continued.

"What? Am I in a plane?" Karl said, he moved from his bed and walked toward a small window, "what the hell? Is it a space ship? Is it another planet?" Karl said as he saw the blackness of space and a spherical shaped planet. "It's definitely not earth." Karl said as he watched the planet from outer space.

*thud*

Karl fell to the floor from the sudden jerk of ship "ouch" Karl said as rubbed his head, he stood up after ship got stable again.

"Should have followed through from the warning" Karl said as he again looked outside the window. "Yeah, it's not earth." Karl said as he further observed the planet, it appeared smaller than earth and mostly of appeared to be land rather than water. "We are still falling but why is there no change." Karl asked himself as he only felt the jerk one time while entering the atmosphere but now was experiencing normal gravity while the ship was accelerating towards the ground.

"Huh? That weird." Karl said as he looked at the edge of the planet, he closed himself to the transparent window glass to properly see.

"How is this possible? The planet is only half." Karl said. "Is it the infamous project earth-3X?!"

Project Earth-3X or the Flat earth, the human's race most incredible and expensive project ever, it had been failed two times but it succeeded the third time. It's a man-made planet half the size of earth but capable of moving through space, the planet had a half spherical part where it looked like earth with buildings, people and environment to survive but the other part consisted of all the mechanical parts and the mana stones to power it.

"It's really the flat earth!" Karl said, the project had been built the way that the person standing on the habitable side of the planet experienced the same atmosphere and gravity as earth but the planet didn't curve as a person walked further, the whole habitable side was flat.

"Wow!" Karl's eyes sparkled with amazement as he thought about how the human race had made true a old believe, created earth-3X or how he liked to call it 'The Flat earth'.

'I should wear the uniform. Ship is going to land soon.' Karl thought as he reached for the suitcase and opened it.

"It's actually not bad." Karl said while checking out the uniform he wore." It's very comfortable, easy to wear and durable."

Karl felt a hint of mana as he wore the uniform, 'I think it gave me protective field.' Karl thought.

[DRAGON'S EYES Lv.1 ACTIVATED]

In the effect of the skill Karl could see a thin layer surrounding the uniform, 'it is not mana, if it was I would have absorbed it.' Karl thought.

THE SHIP WILL LAND IN 5 SECONDS, 4, 3, 2…

Again a robotic voice delivered the message and at the last second another jerk spread through the ship as it landed.

…1, WE HAVE LANDED SUCCESSFULLY, ALL PASSENGERS ARE TO ABORT THE SHIP.

Karl moved toward the door as he heard the robotic voice, after passing through the door Karl saw many people wearing the same uniform and followed them outside.

As Karl stepped out of the ship he didn't feel any different from earth but as he looked further a weird thing happened, he looked further and further away but there was no end which made Karl a little dizzy so he looked down.

"So it's like this not having a horizon, everything just becomes smaller and smaller but never disappears from the view.' Karl thought.

"Don't look at the Edge." A man said who was dressed the same as the new students but instead of black and white, he wore a grey and white. "Due to lack of horizon your head may hurt but you all will get use to it but for now focus on me, somebody else or ground. Now follow me." The man shouted.

'The horizon-less scene is called Edge?' Karl thought. 'well it does make sense as this flat earth has an edge.' Karl then followed the man with thousands of other students who had also travelled through the ship but he had not any of them.

Karl followed the man with other students to a gate, "now after passing through the gate you will be given a keycard for your respective room, the key card is very important as without it you cannot enter your room and go outside this gate once inside. Now one by one collect your keycard." The man shouted.

Karl had to wait quite a while before his chance to obtain the card came.

"Name"

"Karl locklan"

"The card is for identity of the student too, it will also grant access to certain areas so, handle it carefully."

After receiving his card Karl nodded along whatever the man behind the table said and moved on. Karl felt a thin layer pass through him as he entered the gate, 'it's the same barrier as in the exam, after entering the gate the view changed.' Karl thought looking at the 8 storey and at least 300 meters broad building. The building looked a bit metallic but it mostly looked like it was made out of stone.

Karl entered the building looked for his room on the ground floor.

"So this is my room." Karl said as he matched the number on the door to his key card, he then swiped the card which unlocked the door. As soon as the door was unlocked two voices came from Karl's new room.
