The Mark of the Pentacle

Paige showed her the exact location with her own body and it was just located a little to the left of where the heart was.

Cassy quickly searched through the memories of this girl, but she couldn't remember seeing any mark in that exact spot... But since it was her soul that was now in this body and since she could still use her powers, there was a good chance that a mark had appeared when she had transmigrated.

She was really excited to find out if she had a pocket dimension or not, and so she slightly lowered the left side of her white nightie to see if there was a mark there or not.

And when she saw that there was indeed a mark that had appeared just above her left breast she exclaimed really delighted, "Paige, did you see that, I really have a mark!"

This mark looked like the one that represented the magic in her world, it was a pentacle.

This symbol in Aurora was extremely powerful, it had allowed her to call upon the elements, to heal, to receive and channel energies, it was by using this symbol that she had learned to conjure first her white flame and then her red flame.

Its color was strange though, it was multicolored, it was really beautiful and she wanted to ask Paige if her mother had a mark like that as well but when she looked at her, Paige who was wide-eyed and she was looking at her mark as if she couldn't believe her eyes she curiously asked her, "Is there something wrong with my mark?"

Paige then closed her mouth when she realized it was wide open, and she then said to her torn between the embarrassment of her behavior and the amazement at what she had just discovered, "If I tell you that you are the one and only legendary Mage in all Astoria, would you believe me?"

A legendary mage, Cassy thought... Well, her system was already called the divine mage system, so it made sense that she was a bit special.

In fact, the opposite would have been really weird, because she was probably going to need a lot of power to forge a weapon that could kill this Demon Lord and save the Universe.

When these thoughts crossed her mind, Cassy then thought about everything that had happened to her and she felt really helpless.

She couldn't help thinking that it was a very bad dream and that she would wake up soon.

Carol reappeared just then and she was wondering why her daughter and Cassy seemed frozen.

So she cleared her throat to get their attention, and when they both turned toward her she saw the multicolored pentacle just above Cassy's left breast and she put her hands over her heart to try to calm her suddenly racing heartbeats.

Once she had calmed down, and she remembered that Cassy was still only a young girl totally unaware of who she was, she approached her and handed her the clean clothes she had brought back for her and she said in a soft voice, "This is for you, you can change here, Paige and i will wait for you a little further."

But Cassy who had accepted the clothes then grabbed her wrist and she asked her in a confuse voice, "You said you know who I am, then why did you look so shock when you saw this Mark on my skin?"

Carol put her hand on Cassy's and she said explaining to her, "I thought you were Legendary Mage, Cassy.

And the color of your Mark on your breast is the one of a Legendary Mage, but you are not a Legendary Mage, Cassy… You are the one and only Divine Mage.

And it is the fact that this mark is a Pentacle that makes you The Divine Mage.

The Mark of the Pentacle has only appeared twice since the dawn of time and both times it was when humanity was threatened, not only here in Astoria but in all the worlds in our universe."

Carol then frowned when she realized that Cassy had become serious suddenly, like she already knew that she was the Divine Mage and that the Universe was threatened.

But Paige didn't even know that The Divine Mage existed, so she finally asked her puzzled, "Do you know anything about The Divine Mage… Cassy, very few people know of his existence, it's been a long time since the Mark of the Pentacle appeared and many people have forgotten about it."

Cassy didn't know what to do or what to say but suddenly her System sent her a message in her mind.

[This whole family has been chosen to help you in your mission, their fate are bound to yours, you can tell them anything you want, you can trust them]

Anything she wanted… Does it mean that she could tell them about the Divine Mage System?

She looked Carol in the eyes and then she chose to be honest with her.

The System said that their whole family was bound to her so she needed to know, "I have something to confess to you but first I want to know why your family seems to know about this Mark and The Divine Mage?"

Carol didn't hesitate for a second, after all Cassy was indeed The Divine Mage, no one could imitate this Mark and she had already proven to her that she possessed extraordinary powers, so she told her, "My family isn't from Astoria, nor is my husband's for that matter, we are both from a world called Spartia, and both of our families are very old families that participated in the last war to save humanity from the dominance of the Demon Lord."

Carol smiled at her and then said to her, "It's kind of a long story so let me give you the short version.

My husband and I fled to Astoria so we could get married and start our family away from all the political issues of Spartia."
