The Diamond In The Rough✔

||Book 1 of the Diamond Series|| The world had fallen into chaos a long time ago. Creatures came and enslaved the human race: Vampires, Lycans/Werewolves and Demons. They took and slaughtered thousands of innocent people. Men, Women and Children. After suffering for ten years, another set of beings came. They had enormous wings and a shining silver rings floating above their heads. Rings that could be used as a weapon if necessary. These creatures were called 'Angels'. They were kind and honestly the opposite of every supernatural creature that existed in that era. They built their kingdom protecting as many humans as they could but the dark creatures had other things planed. There was a war that broke out. Every man for themselves or more specifically, every creature for themselves. The war went on for almost 500 years. Then there was a woman. She wasn't an Angel or Vampire or Lycan or Demon. Turns out she was a hybrid of all four. More powerful than anything. No one knows for sure how this hybrid was made and at some point, no one cared. Her name was Elaka. She was seen as a priestess. Elaka was the savior of all humans. She created a boarder and the world was divided in two: The Land of Light; was so peaceful that it had to be shielded from the world. Elaka had put a protective hidden wall around the kingdom so no one would come in unless brought in by the citizens. There were humans that lived there and their lives were a paradise. And total peace. And there was the Dark land. Where every other creature lived. The three major kingdoms tolerated each other for as long as they could. Years passed without war. Until Elaka suddenly vanished. Without her, the world would become chaotic again. The crystal was lost in the forest. So many have searched for it but never succeeded. Even if they ever found it, the legend says it was set in stone. It was glued to a tree and only 'The Diamond in The Rough' could pull it out. That person was never found.

CHAPTER 34:

The two young princes stood facing each other.

Their outfits were a little different from the girls if you take away the fact that they were shirtless and wore pants that were tight on the lower half of their knees.

It wasn't too tight on them but it wasn't loose either.

Everyone else seemed calm about it...everyone except me and my friends of course.

They kept glaring at each other for a while before Jaja dashed forward attempting to cut Rayhan.

But he missed; Rayhan was faster than him.

He was about to deliver a blow on Jaja's back but he was quick enough to evade it.

"not bad" Rayhan remarked making Jaja charge towards him again and tried hitting him but was blocked by counter attacks.

Then, Rayhan swooped down and hit Jaja's leg with his staff making him fall down for a few seconds before he was on his feet again.

"you've had your fun; now it's my turn" Rayhan moved forward and launched the first attack.

The staff made contact with Jaja's arm though he made an attempt to block it; but wasn't quick enough.

He kept on swinging his staff and Jaja kept on trying to dodge or strike a counter attack.

Some were successful, others weren't.

Rayhan went low again and used his feet to throw his younger brother off balance.

Before Jaja could react, Rayhan pointed the staff to his face.

"you lost...again" he smirked and helped him up.

"is this how training is normally?" I asked Imogen as she stood up to get two axes...guess it's her turn.

"well mother asked those above 16 to go easy on us" Yura commented.

"wait...I want to go against Rayhan" Jackie came from nowhere and collected the axes.

"can she really fight him? I mean she's blind" Eri looked worried and I couldn't agree more.

"believe or not, Jackie is really strong and being blind doesn't stop her from doing anything"

"but how? -"

"COULD 7 OF YOU SHUT IT?! I'M BLING NOT DEAF!" she yelled over to us and the place was suddenly quiet.

"I'll explain later" Imogen whispered.

The two faced each other.

I for one was worried about a blind girl fighting a prince.

I began to take note of the tattoos she had and wondered if EVERYONE here had tattoos and the fact that I want one!

"I'll try to go easy on you ok?" Rayhan made fun of her.

"and make it easy to whoop your butt? No way...give me all you've got" she smirked.

"if you say so" he tightened the grip on staff before charging at her.

I was expecting him to deliver a clean hit but she dodged right before he could strike.

How was that possible?

She then kicked his back and he stumbled forward.

I was in shock as they fought; seems like I wasn't the only one.

Jackie then began swinging her axes at him and almost hitting him.

When she was about to deliver another blow, he blocked and they came face to face.

"she can't really see him? Can she?" I asked myself.

Rayhan twirled the staff in his hands before swinging it everywhere, causing Jackie to do a number of backflips to dodge them.

For a moment, Rayhan seemed distracted; his attention was on Eri who was watching with all seriousness.

She advanced, evaded his attacks and used the back of her axes to hit his ribs then kicking him between his legs.

"FOUL!" he dropped his staff and curled into a little ball.

"it's your fault for getting distracted" Jackie laughed and offered him a hand which he took and got up.

Everything that had just happened seemed like a blur.

How did a blind girl defeat a prince?

Even if he wasn't distracted, they were evenly matched.

"you're lucky I was using a weapon, if it were had to hand, then I would have done some real damage"

"you guys live a very exciting life" Eri said while looking at the prince.

I was seriously starting to suspect them but said nothing none the less.

"well we have to be strong and be prepared for anything" Imogen replied.

"plus it's really fun to kick your siblings around" Jaja added.

"doing the kicking is more fun than being kicked" Yura laughed.

"what do you think Sam?" I turned to him...but he wasn't anywhere to be found, neither was the Jackal.

Sam's POV:

"Jackal please wait up" I chased after her.

She had gone immediately after the match and I really wanted to talk to her.

"what do you want?" she sounded irritated.

"I've never seen moves like that! How did you do it?" I minded my words because I didn't want to mention anything about her being blind.

She looked seriously confused.

"I know there are strong fighters here but you seem to be one of the strongest. Is there any way for you to-"

"look I get that you liked my moves and all but I don't see why I should teach you how to fight; I might trust your other friends but not you"

"why?-"

She seemed really ticked off my me and I don't know why.

She met me the same time with the girls yet she's annoyed by the very sight of me from the beginning.

"I mustn't tell you; if you want to learn how to fight, ask Rayhan or the triplets or Imogen not me"

"but you're the strongest fighter here" in my own opinion it was true.

"listen I don't have time for this. It's best if you stay away" she walked away.

Something in me yelled to chase after her but it was best if I didn't.

"there you are; don't you want a tour of the castle grounds before dinner?" Imogen stood beside me, Lyra and the rest behind her.

"yeah...sure, sounds nice" I snapped out of my thoughts and followed them.

Honestly, I didn't vibe so much with this chapter and I don't know why.

Hope that little fight scene was at least entertaining, I did my best.
