He glanced down at the wolf's lifeless body.

"Can I devour it?"

But spirit said, "No, I suggest you not do it because its rank is low. Moreover, outside its origin land, it may have impure energy which might affect your body. Instead, you can sell it to earn some money."

"Ahh, I almost forgot that I am broke and I need to earn money" than Lu Shen stored the wolf's dead body in the space of his origin bracelet.

Suddenly, Lu Shen heard sounds coming from all around him. What he saw scared the living daylights out of him because he found himself surrounded by a pack of wolves

"They must be attracted by the blood and here for revenge for their pack member"

With no time to waste, Lu Shen found himself surrounded by a pack of growling wolves, their eyes shining with hunger.

"Roar"

With a roar, the largest of the wolves lunged at him, its razor sharp fangs bared in a deadly growl. Lu Shen met the beast head on, his figure flying in a blur of motion as he fought he try to see its status as it seems stronger than others.

Lu Shen, upon seeing that the demon was of rank one and had strength equal to his own, so he decided to use his bloodline skills. Channeling his spiritual energy, he prepared to unleash his full power on the huge bloody wolf.

"Bloodline Skill: Swift!"

In an instant, Lu Shen's speed increased dramatically. He dashed towards the wolf, his movements a blur. As he closed the distance, he activated another skill.

"Inferno Strike!"

His fist burst into flames, the fire fueled by his spiritual energy. He swung it with all his might, sending a blazing arc of fire toward the huge, bloody wolf. Sensing the deadly threat, the wolf leader grabbed a subordinate by the head and threw it into the path of the attack.

"Boom!"

The inferno strike hit the subordinate wolf, killing it instantly. Yet, the leader, as if nothing had happened, continued to rush towards Lu Shen.

The massive wolf snorted and attacked Lu Shen, each clash of their attacks sending shockwaves through the air.

Lu Shen felt the pain in all of his muscles and the sting of wounds as the wolf's claws marked across his body, but he refused to back down. With a fierce determination, he activated another bloodline skill.

"Wood Bind!"

Vines erupted from the ground, wrapping around the wolf's legs and body, momentarily restraining it. Taking advantage of the wolf's momentary immobilization, Lu Shen gathered his remaining spiritual energy.

"Inferno Strike!"

Once again, his fist ignited with flames. As the huge wolf struggled against the vines, Lu Shen swung his fiery fist, burning flesh and fur as it struck the wolf's body.

"Whistle!"

"Boom!"

"Howl!"

The massive wolf howled in pain as the flames seared its flesh. Despite its immense strength, it could not withstand the combined force of Lu Shen's bloodline skills. The wolf's movements slowed, and with a final, powerful strike, Lu Shen brought the beast down.

"Howl!"

The leader of the wolf pack let out one last, mournful howl before collapsing to the ground, defeated.

The beast howled in agony, its eyes burning with the desire to devour Lu Shen alive. However, due to the massive loss of blood, its vitality seeped out of its body and it took one last breath before collapsing. After the giant wolf collapsed to the ground, lifeless, seeing their leader dead the remaining wolves hesitated, then fled into the forest.

Breathing heavily,

"Do you think running can spare your life?"

After saying that, Lu Shen rushed toward the fleeing wolves and began killing as many as he could. 

Ten minutes later...

"These wolves were no match for me" he thought, wiping the sweat and blood from his fist and body.

Lu Shen sneered, "Hmph, even with their large numbers, they're still weak and pitiful"

"Still, can i earn a huge amount selling them and might buy a huge house for myself"

Lu Shen wanted to have his own house because the place he was currently living in, although it had little space, was still not the kind of place he liked. It was a slum area, and he desired to reside in the central area of the stronghold of Azura Cloud.

After storing all the crops of the wolves, Lu Shen searched for a place to rest. Exhausted from the intense fight, he wandered around for some time until he finally stumbled upon a cave.

"phew"

With a sigh of relief, Lu Shen entered the cave, hoping to find a safe haven for some much needed rest.

"It seems this must be the den of those wolves" Lu Shen muttered as he surveyed the empty cave.

Lu Shen decided to make the most of his time, he found a suitable spot to sit and began to channel the five element refinement cultivation technique to recover the spiritual energy he had just spent in battle. As he circulated the spiritual energy inside his body, Lu Shen felt a remarkable difference. The energy flowed more smoothly and recover was more faster and he could sense his cultivation progressing much faster rate than before.

"This must be because of my life and death experience"

"This is my 20th kill"

Feng Yue said removing blood from her hand and a sense of curiosity appear into her mind.

"I wonder what he is doing"

As she began to take quite an interest in Lu Shen due to his rapid increase in strength and seeing Lu Shen quit different than other people and after long interaction On the bus, he could be considered her friend and Lu Shen was her first real friend.

"Should I check the leaderboard?" her voice echoing softly in the silent forest.

"He is indeed strong, but I don't understand how he can achieve so much in such a short time"

she acknowledged Lu Shen's strength, Feng Yue refused to believe he is that strong to kill about 60 rank one demons because per kill of a rank one demon gives points of 100, and for normal beasts, it gives points of 10.

"I can't lag behind him and I must get stronger to prove that I can be even more powerful without their support" Feng Yue thought as she ventured deeper into the wilderness. She knew she was trailing behind Lu Shen, but she was not one to give up easily. With each step she took, her resolve only grew stronger.

She would prove herself in her own way, by pushing herself harder, by going further than she had ever gone before, and by proving she is stronger than what her family thinks of her.

In another area of the wilderness, a group of four students were taking a rest when suddenly, a student ran toward the captain of the team.

"Boss, boss, something bad happened"

"What happened? Speak quickly" Tangsu Ming asked Chu Chu, one of his lackeys.

"Boss, you should check the leaderboard"

Chu Chu said, avoiding Tangsu Ming's gaze because he knew his boss was going to get really mad this time.

Tangsu Ming's face twisted into a scowl as he saw his name in fourth place, earning him 70 points. He clenched his fists in frustration.

"Fourth place? Unacceptable" Tangsu Ming shouted gritting his teeth.

"I refuse to be outdone by anyone, especially that Lu Shen"

His other lackey, a young boy named Liang, approached him slowly, sensing his boss's seething anger.

"Boss, it's just one competition. There will be other chances. We'll show them who's truly the best." Tangsu Ming's lips curled into a sneer as he turned to face his lackey.

"You think this is about one competition? This is about dominance, Liang. And I won't rest until I prove that I am the strongest, the most formidable, so that other top universities can take me more seriously. Now, gather our things. We're leaving"

With a nod, Liang and the others hurried to obey Tangsu Ming's command, knowing that Tangsu Ming was angry and that if they did something wrong, they might get punished.

"Send a message to the others to find out where Lu Shen is and if they can kill him" he said with an angry face.

"This is far from over"

Meanwhile, the other top ten participants reacted to the results, each responding differently upon seeing the leaderboard.

Wang Mei, who had secured third place, glanced at the scoreboard.

"Well, who is this Lu Shen? He must be strong to get 650 points in such a short time" her tone filled with a mix of curiosity and admiration.

Chen Liang, who had placed fifth, scoffed,

"Humph, who is he to take first place?"

Liu Fang, in sixth place, turned to her teammates.

"Search about who the hell is this Lu Shen?"

In the room where teachers monitored the progress of the students, the atmosphere was filled with quiet anticipation.

Each teacher sat before a screen displaying the positions and points of the participants.

Teacher Zhan Lu, the teacher from Class A, leaned back in her chair, her eyes scanning the screen with a thoughtful expression.

"You know, I have high hopes for Wang Mei" her voice tinged with pride.

"she's always been a standout student, and I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up at the top of the leaderboard."

Beside her, Teacher Tang, the teacher from Class B, nodded in agreement.

"Maybe in the past your class might have gotten higher places, but not this time" his gaze flicking to the screen displaying Fang Yue's progress.

"And let's not forget about Feng Yue from my class. She's a force to be reckoned with and there's also Tangsu Ming. You all know he is from the Tang Clan"

"Humph, we will see"

"Yeah"

"They always fight. Sometimes I wonder if they are a couple."

"Same, they always compete in everything."

The teachers from classes C and D were whispering to each other.

"I heard they got into the same university in the past and ended up with the same job at the same academy. It can't be a coincidence, right?" the class C teacher said.

As the supervising teacher overseeing the student trials in the wilderness, Supervisor Lin couldn't help but notice the remarkable increase in Lu Shen's point.

his eyes widened in surprise as he reviewed the points of student.

"Lu Shen... 650 points?, who among is the teacher this student" he asked the other teacher present in room.

Teacher Tang nodded solemnly.

"Yes, Lu Shen is one of my students." He was surprised, too, as he looked at the screen showing the students' results and saw Lu Shen in the first position.

"He's had shown potential, but I had no idea he possessed such remarkable abilities"

"Lu Shen comes from a humble background. He's quite poor, so he doesn't have access to the same resources as some of his peers. But despite that, he's managed to awaken a top grade bloodline"

Supervisor Lin nodded in understanding and respecting Lu Shen for his achievements despite being from humble background.

"So, you're saying that Lu Shen's talent is truly exceptional and..."

But before supervisor Lin could continue, the class A teacher interjected,

"True, true, what she speaks is indeed true" remarked one of the teachers.

"Even though he is indeed talented, we might achieve better results this year" Supervisor Lin gaze at other teachers.
