Chapter 20: I've gotten fatter

"So, who's soul got suck out of them by that cursed video?" Lucifer asked, looking at everyone in the room.

Emi rolled her eyes, "Cursed my ass. What kind of person would have their soul got sucked out just by watching some girl dancing? That's just rude."

"Don't remind me..." Lucifer groaned. "Fucking Alex forced me to watch it until you guys arrived!"

"That was horrible..." Starrk said as he was lying on the floor, staring on the ceiling with a blank look, "...now I'm afraid to sleep because I might see it in my dreams."

"Agree." The boys who saw it nodded their heads in agreement. "That is not something that should exist."

Emi sighed, "You guys are acting like its the end of the world. Us girls are totally fine."

"WHAAAT!? NOOO WAAAYYY!" Lucifer exclaimed, looking at Emi and the girls as if he just saw something that wasn't supposed to exist.

"Looshifer! Mama never lies!" Alice exclaimed while sitting on Alex's lap.

Alex patted her head as he said, "Well, look, tomorrow we will take a train to Chiba, to a snack bar run by landlady's niece. We'll work, get paid and have free rooms to stay in."

"We go to beach! Together!" Alice smiled as she keep squirming around in excitement.

Lucifer crossed his arms and thought for a moment, "....still, Chiba huh? Sounds good to me."

Hisui nodded, "Yeah, at least we'll have some cash and a place to stay. But it'll be hard, a seaside snack bar isn't an easy work."

Lucifer blinks as he looked at Hisui like he just discovered something unbelievable, "WHAT?! Dude, we're going to work too?!"

Hisui sighed, looking as if she just made the greatest sacrifice, "Its a necessary sacrifice. Its for the greater good, Hanzo."

Lucifer sighed, "But still, who the hell would even work in a sweatbox like that...?"

Suzuno shot him a look, "Think of it as a halfway house on your way to decent society."

"What's with that analog!?" Hisui and Lucifer exclaimed, giving Suzuno a glare, who just shrug it off.

Lucifer then sighed, looking at Alex and Emi, "I'm just gonna be in the way there you know? I don't know how to work or anything."

"You don't?" Genshiro look at him in sarcasm, "Wow, we didn't know that!"

"Shut up! You good-for-nothing dragon god!" Lucifer shot back, glaring at Genshiro.

"Guh—!?"

The others chuckled at that. Genshiro and Lucifer really don't seen to get along.

"Besides~, you can't just hole up in your room if you have no room you know~?" Said Nonko with a smile. "This Inn will be refurbished, and if you don't work, you'll have to stay on the streets or beg someone to take you two in."

Emi then glared at him, "Also, if you try pull off that stunt you did with Olba then you're going to regret it."

Nonko was giving him a dangerous look, her smile not leaving her face, "And don't forget the fifty thousand yen you borrowed from me, if you're not going to work how would I expect you to pay me back?"

Chitose also decided to add her opinion as she looked at Lucifer with a disdainfully sweet smile, "It is your right to leech off others and refuse to aid them in any way, but could you truly be proud of that?"

Alice looked at her mama and neechans, "Mama, Chi-neecha, Noko-neecha, don't pick on Looshifer okeh?"

Alex just caressed her head and pulled her closer to him. Alice need not to concern herself with this.

"Dude! Suzuno's as jobless as Hisui and I! Where do you get off?!" Lucifer retorted, giving them a tearful glare. Hisui just nodded beside him.

Suzuno just remained silent. It is indeed true that she hasn't found a suitable work yet. But she's trying!

Emi just gave him a blank stare, "Suzuno is only jobless in Japan, but in Ente Isla she's an ordained cleric and the chief inquisitor. And most importantly, she can cook, clean, and do laundry for herself. Maybe she's unemployed like you, but you know what? The difference is like the night and day."

"You..! Nngh...treating me like an idiot!" Lucifer gave them a tearful glare, why was he always the one getting picked on?!

Alice stretched her little arms, looking at Lucifer worriedly, "Looshifer, don't cry! Pain, go away! Go awaaay!"

"Dude, that's real sweet but...nggh! Okay! Alright! Alright! I'll work! Once I get into it, I'm gonna make Ashiya look like a slug! Let's go Hisui!" Lucifer stood and grumpily walked out of the room.

"Hn." Hisui followed after him.

Alex looked at them leave before he stood up, "Let's pack up our things. We'll leave early tomorrow. Oh, and Tier, do you have any clothes?"

Harribel shook her head, "I mostly use magic to keep my clothes clean, and I only have two clothes, this and my general uniform."

Harribel was currently wearing a loose white shirt and denim shorts, and yellow sandals. This wasn't even hers, just given to her by Nonko since she has a lot of clothes and their sizes are quite close to each other.

"So I'm guessing the three musketeers also don't have any spare clothes?" Alex asked, looking at Apacci, Mila Rose, and Sung-sun.

"Who are you calling three musketeers you bastard of a king!?" Apacci glared at him.

"We're the Tres Bestias! The Fraccion of Lady Harribel! You better remember that!" Mila Rose angrily exclaimed.

Sung-sun sighed, "I hate to say it, but I agree with these two idiots."

"The hell did you say Sung-sun!?" Apacci turned towards her, "You wanna fight?!"

"That's right! Don't compare me to this donkey!"

"Huh?! You wanna go Gorilla!?"

"Oh you're on!"

Alex scratched the back of his head, as Harribel just gave her new king an apologetic look.

Alex just shook his head, telling her not to worry about it before he shot a look at Emi as they left the room.

They went to their room, and on the way, Alex was thinking about this beach and the job.

'I remember this beach arc in the Manga.' Alex furrowed his brows, wondering what will happen in the beach, 'With Olba dead, he won't be able to spark the civil war, and the demons won't have any reason to search for Emi and her holy sword. That means they won't have any reason to come to Earth and meet us in the Beach. And since there's no civil war, Camio won't have to come to Earth to find me either, so he also won't end up in the Beach and get beat up by Amane.'

If he remembered it correctly, the Landlady's niece, Amane, mortally wounded Camio and annihilated the group of demons who went with him because their presence disrupted the balance of the soul living in the beach.

And the demons who believed that the original Satan is dead were tricked by Olba and went to Earth, where Emi battled them.

'...But since I pretty much change a lot of things, I wonder if the beach arc will be more peaceful and relaxing...or fate will decide to throw a more troublesome thing for me to handle?'

"So what should we bring?"

Alex snapped out of his thoughts when Emi asked that question. He just realized that they were now on their room, with Alice now rolling around their bed.

He smirked at Emi, "Swimsuit of course."

Emi furrowed her brows, "I don't have one. I haven't really been to a beach or a pool ever since we came to Japan. So, should I buy one? I should also buy some new clothes and underwear, they don't fit me anymore, I have to use magic just to make it fit. I think I've gotten fatter?"

Alex raised an eyebrow and began to feel her up, touching all over her body.

Emi blushed as she smack his hand, "W-What are you doing?! Though I am not against such action, but please mind that Alice is still here! Also, at least let me prepare my heart first!"

Alex ignored her words and just frowned, "No, its not that. Though I really have this dirty thoughts of devouring you, but its not that. You haven't gotten fatter, just...bigger?"

Emi calmed herself and just raised an eyebrow, "What's the difference?"

Alex furrowed his brows, "Let me rephrase that. You've gotten...curvier? Yeah, that's the word. Taller too. I think you're at least two inches taller than before, your butt became perkier and your breasts have gotten bigger too. Your legs though...damn, they're perfect. Though certainly not as great as your demon form, but your body certainly became more...mature."

Emi'a face flushed, but she didn't react much but just rolled her and gave him a smirk.

"Anyway, should we bring our wardrobe? We have storage space anyway." Alex asked

Emi shook her head, "That'd be too much. Just four or five days worth of clothing will do fine, I also doubt they have work uniforms so we'll either go with t-shirts or swimsuits."

"Swimsuits, I can't wait to see you on one."

Emi smirked, "You'll have your chance. Now hurry and pack up our things, I need to take a bath."

"Alright, Alright, just chill."
