Who Are You?
"Who are you?" The witch asked, taking a step forward. She bent a little to see what I looked like. After some minutes, she wanted to come closer but the guards stopped him. It terrified me. Did she recognize me as a slave girl?
The emperor got up from the seat and veered in her direction "She is my wife, queen Ariadne. Do you have a problem with it?"
The way he stood up for me surprised everyone. Usually, he will sit and let me do the talking. I would have stammered a lot to explain myself to the old lady.
"I don't know why you brought this old woman in here" Grandmother spoke aloud. It seemed she despite the witch a lot. Calling her an old woman made us laugh. She was also old...Devine sounded younger. "Why are you laughing?"
We kept quiet immediately as she got angry. It felt so good seeing her in a difficult situation. The Emperor sat back and Devine returned to her spot. But, I noticed that her eyes were on me the whole time.
