Unexpected Reunion

Hello, readers.

Sorry for the chapter releases always being so slow. I'm a slow writer. Also, I can be a perfectionist at odd times, making writing painfully slow for myself.

I will say that either the next chapter or the following will have the first official R18 scene. I think it's obvious who it will be with, but I am the author. I won't spoil it if you can't figure it out.

Also, I just wanted to state that I'm kind of sad. One of my favorite fanfics just got dropped last night, and another got put on essentially an indefinite hiatus. Life is depressing.

Please note, I won't drop this fanfic even if there are toxic commenters. I write this for fun and myself mainly. The only way I would drop it is if I couldn't continue for some unforeseen reason. I want to finish it and potentially do side chapters.

I might start other books in the future, but it will be once I become more reliable as an author. I don't want other projects to delay this book's updates any more than I already do.

Also, I decided to start posting character images in the comments, if I remember. I can't guarantee how reliable I'll be on this. My Discord server is a more reliable means of seeing images.

The sun hung high in the sky within another realm, providing its warmth and light. Occasionally, one of the many puffy white clouds would crawl past the sun. Among the rolling hills and endless sea of grass, many beautiful flowers were present, sprinkled throughout.

The plants went beyond the average rainbow of colors. There were white magnolias with blue specks, red roses tinged with purple, black dahlias rimmed with yellow, among many other unique specimens. Any botanist would be shocked to see mutations present in even the most common flowers. Their shock would be further stimulated by the variety of flowers that only exist within this realm and not amongst the multiverse.

Three women could be seen sitting in a clearing within this boundless realm. All three women sat cross-legged with their eyes closed. Invisible energy swirled around them as they each focused.

"I did it!" exclaimed Ui.

"Damn it," Hitomi grumbled. "Why is it so difficult to get rid of these ears?" Her black-furred ears twitched in coordination with her annoyance.

Eruza sighed and clutched her cheetah tail. "At least you only have to worry about your ears."

The girls were distracted and neglected to notice the appearance of a vortex of violet petals. The petals settled amongst the grass, leaving Dianthus standing directly behind Ui.

A single petal landed on Ui's head, grabbing her attention. She reached up and plucked the petal from her hair. "Hmm... Where did this come from," she mumbled to herself.

"Congratulations, little rabbit," Dianthus whispered into her ear. His hot breath tickled her skin, sending shivers down her spine.

"Kyaa!" yelped Ui. The combination of surprise and excitement sent her into a panic. She whipped her head back, slamming it against Dianthus' chin.

The other two quickly looked over when they heard the shriek. Upon seeing Ui headbutt Dianthus, they both broke out into a fit of laughter.

Dianthus adorned a wry smile as Ui hunched over to rub the back of her head. Of course, this exchange only hurt her.

Extending his hand forward, he began to caress Ui's head where she had suffered the impact. Dianthus chuckled, "I didn't think you would attack me, little rabbit."

Instead of responding to his sarcastic comment, Ui happily indulged herself in the warmth his hand provided. "Ehehe..."

"Wait!" Ui exclaimed, abruptly standing up. She turned towards Dianthus and questioned him. "Didn't you say that you would give the first to completely transform a reward?"

"Hmm," Dianthus pondered, "I suppose I did promise that."

"Yes!" Ui pumped her fist in the air cutely, showcasing her excitement. The other two growled in jealousy since they wouldn't be able to ask for a reward as well.

He ignored the two miffed women and continued to address Ui. "What reward do you want?"

She calmed herself down and began to think. Her first thought was to request a particular service in the bedroom, but after glancing at her two frustrated friends, she hesitated. "Um, could you consider allowing the three of us to become your wives?"

Both Eruza and Hitomi were shocked. She had used her reward to help the two of them. Warmth pervaded their hearts.

Dianthus chuckled, "I certainly don't mind accepting the three of you."

All three girls smiled wide and cheered. In the beginning, they had only followed him because of his strength. After killing the demon they had served under, the girls had no choice but to seek shelter from Dianthus. After all, they had initially been lesser yokai that would frequently be stepped on and taken advantage of.

After spending time around him, they all grew to love him. He helped each of them to become stronger and attain their humanoid forms. Throughout their interactions, he had always been kind and considerate. Dianthus would humor their selfish desires and help them work through any problems they had.

The girls had been on the lookout for a chance to become more intimate with him. They were especially excited when Semiramis approved of them. Getting the green light from her meant they didn't need to worry about testing more poisons.

"However, you two need to finish your transformations first." Dianthus directed his words towards Eruza and Hitomi.

The two girls nodded. His promise renewed their determination to transform successfully. Dianthus ignited a fire in the two girls, and they both immediately sat down and proceeded to concentrate.

"You know, I planned on accepting you girls if you each wished for it." Dianthus leaned forward and began to whisper into Ui's ear, "So, I believe I still owe you a reward. How about I fulfill your veggie fantasy?"

"H-How did you know about that?" Ui stammered in embarrassment.

Dianthus pulled back and chuckled while admiring her beet-red face. "A little cheetah sold you out."

'I want to die in a hole! It's a good thing I like to dig.' Ui inwardly decided on her premature death.

Before she could act on her impulse, Dianthus cupped her chin and stole her lips. Ui opened her eyes wide in surprise. However, she soon lost herself in the sensation. Closing her eyes, she responded to his kiss with heated passion.

The sweet taste of his lips and intoxicating floral scent overwhelmed Ui's mind, leading her to succumb to her instincts. Upon feeling her tongue attempt to invade his mouth, Dianthus withdrew from the kiss, much to Ui's disappointment. Ui stared at him with glazed eyes, searching for clues as to why he broke away.

Dianthus licked his lips and chuckled. "No need to pout. It's the first kiss of many to come."

He leaned forward once more and planted a small kiss on the tip of her nose, causing her already red face to fall a shade deeper.

He let his hot breath tickle her neck as he whispered, "We can continue this next time. Maybe we'll even fulfill that fantasy of yours."

Dianthus pulled back and rubbed her head affectionately. "I need to go meet with Semi now. Don't fantasize for too long," he teased her with a soft smile.

The violet petals swirled around Dianthus' body once again. Once they had settled, Ui was left standing alone with many thoughts swirling about her head.

'I can't believe he kissed me. Not just once, but twice!' Ui glanced towards the other two girls, wondering if they witnessed her intimate moment.

'Thank goodness they're distracted.' Ui breathed a sigh of relief but then began to giggle to herself as she relished in the memory.

Dianthus arrived in the nearby wooden cabin from within the usual vortex of petals.

He had created a luxury wooden villa within his realm using a combination of magic and his domain control. Though the walls looked to be made of logs, it was actually composed of the interwoven roots of various flowers growing within the domain. Using magic, he created an artificial interior lighting system. The house even had running water that utilized purification magic.

Dianthus began to walk towards the room where he had sensed Semiramis' presence. He found it odd that the adjoining room blocked his perception from sensing the interior. However, he believed it to be related to the surprise that awaited him. He could bypass the spiritual blockade but decided to humor Semiramis instead.

Opening the door to the bedroom, Dianthus saw the goddess sitting at the edge of the bed with her arms crossed. A smug smile adorned her face as she stared at the arriving humanoid wolf.

"I see you finally made a move on them," Semiramis said.

Dianthus met her smile with his own. "To be fair, I only made a move on one of them. I left the other two with a guarantee."

The goddess giggled behind her hand. "That's true. However, you don't understand how much happiness you brought after accepting the three of them. I can speak from personal experience."

"Now, how about I deliver the present I've promised," she said.

Dianthus watched with interest as Semiramis stood and walked over to the door connected to the adjoining bedroom. When she opened the door, a white blur rocketed towards Dianthus with a shout. "Papa!"

Dianthus immediately knelt to receive the blur, engulfing it in a tight hug. "Shiro..." His eyes began to moisten, showing the heavy emotions evident on his face.

Semiramis smiled warmly at the reunion between father and daughter. Both Dianthus and Shiro were crying in each other's embrace. Nestling her head against Dianthus', Shiro rubbed her cute tear-stained face against him.
