Crystal Pendant

The next morning, Athena got up early. She wanted to go back to her own city but her aunt called and asked her to pack up the things and that she would come back to get them. Athena was free anyway, so she agreed.

The house's living room had a big bookshelf full of books. When Athena was packing the books in a box, she found a very small box, about 6 cm x 6 cm in size, in the middle of two books. The box was black in color and was covered by a thick layer of dust.

It was a normal box but, it was just that....Athena got a very eerie feeling from the box but she couldn't tell why. This prompted her to lift up the lid of the box.

Inside the box, there was a pendant. A crystal pendant in the shape of a quartz with a long gold chain attached to it. The pendant was a beautiful piece of art.

Athena lifted the pendant from the box and placed it in front of the light coming from the window. The light made it shine beautifully and majestically. She placed the pendant around her neck. She really liked the pendant. Not just because it was pretty, but because she felt a strange sense of familiarity with this pendant. As if it had been with her for a long, long time....

~I week later~

Athena went back to her city. After helping her aunt and uncle move away, she came back. They were going to move to the neighboring country. They asked her if she wanted to come along, but she declined.

She asked her aunt about the pendant, but she didn't remember owning it. Her aunt gave it to her since she liked it. The beautiful pendant was now hers and she always wore it wherever she went.

After the trip, something changed. The nightmare she saw that day would now come again and again. The same dream every night, the same ghost like atmosphere and the same eyes. The same words were uttered every time as well.

'The time to awaken is near...'

This made Athena very uncomfortable. She had a feeling that something would happen soon, a strange sense of foreboding that haunted her every night.

As it is said ' It may take a year, it may take a day. But what's meant to be will always find it's way.'
