True training begins

[SMASH!]

It's been around 9 years since I've reincarnated. And since then, I've just about picked up everything there is to know about this world from the house library.

This world is called Eval, it apparently runs on a magic system similar to the world I first lived in. But unlike the world I first lived in, it has an even higher concentration of both mana and world energy. If I were to compare it, I would say that they are even higher than the combined concentrations of the world's I lived in for my second and third life.

[SMASH!]

Despite this, from what I've seen thus far, the magic advancement here is poor, at least compared to my first life. I'm not complaining though, it would make it way easier to take over the world if not everyone was a demigod. On top of that, it seems that science here is almost non-existent. The people in this world only believe in one thing, magic.

Apart from that, I actually look quite "normal" this life, if you excuse my moderately handsome face that is. I don't have any insane features like the fiery red hair from my first life, or my crystal blue eyes from my second and third. Compared to those, my black hair and dark grey eyes could just be considered "boring".

Back to the main topic then...

I guess the only thing that is really different are mages. In all of my previous lives, mages are people who use spells and chants to their advantage during battle, thus making them superior to swordsmen and other classes.

But here in this world, mages not only know close combat fighting, it's an essential part of their power. Being able to wield both a sword and use spells really puts the mages of this world at an advantage despite not tapping in to the potential mana their world has to offer. In essence the mages of this world are more like the magic swordsman class in my second life than an actual mage.

[SMASH!]

I'm not complaining though, even though I was a full on mage in my first life who spent my entire being not doing swordsmanship, I spent over 10 years as a magic swordsman in my second life, so CQC is nothing to me.

I can understand everything else, but the one thing I just can't wrap my head around is the way mages are classified. In my first life and third life rankings were decided from tier 1 to tier 9, pretty straightforward right? In my second life, awakened were decided as F rank to S rank, very easy to understand as well.

[SMASH!]

But in this world, rankings are decided from fifth rate to first rate, then followed by master then by grandmaster then by archmage, then lastly by transcendent.

Couldn't they just use the 1 to 9 system or the alphabet? Why the hell do they need to complicate this kind of stuff with master and grandmaster and whatnot! This is actually stupid.

[SMASH!]

Oh yea! You are probably wondering what that sound is right?

That's the sound of me fighting for my life right now.

From what you ask?

Well it's from me defending myself from this ABSURDLY strong girl in front of me!

I'm convinced she's trying to kill me. How is a 13 year old's strike this hard! I thought everyone in this world was a weakling until I sparred with her.

Who is she? Well she's my sister of course!

Charlotte Raiser. The eldest child of the count Raiser family and the genius who attained the rank of third rate at such a young age.

But that can't be. Why would the great demon sage be losing to a 13 year old girl, genius or not.

Well the reasoning is simple...it's all because of my Master plan!

You see I've realized something. In my first life and second life, I became too known. Everyone in the world knew who I was and because of that they betrayed me or hunted me down in fear of me becoming stronger.

So you might be thinking...why not just give up getting stronger.

If you actually thought that you are genuinely stupid.

Who would give up being stronger?

Especially since I already experienced being weak in my third life. And we all know how that turned out.

So I devised a master plan in order to aid me in my quest for world domination. I would continuously get stronger until I reach the peak, but I have to keep my identity a secret, lest something like what happened in my first two lives happens.

And this is the #1 rule of my master plan!

[Act weak as hell!]

So I started acting as though I had little talent for magic and swordsmanship. Everyday during my training with my sister, I would purposely seal my power.

But if my sister, who was called a genius for attaining her rank at that age, what would the world think of me when they find out I've actually hit master rank? I mean, I did spend almost everyday working and experimenting on new spells, chants, trying to tap into the world energy and such.

I still think that if there even a bit more mana or world energy in my first world I could have probably reached the 9th tier way earlier.

After all, the title of demon sage doesn't write itself.

But truthfully speaking, even if I am the demon sage...

This girl is actually ridiculously strong!

Like her strikes hit harder than a truck and her punches are stronger than a gorilla. It's not her magic power that's too strong, it's that she's physically blessed by the "martial god" or something. I feel that I might actually die if I don't at least use some power!

But if I do, I'm afraid I might injure her!

[THWACK!]

The sword had connected with my head.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ouch! What the hell was that for sis?"
"Rolan! Take this seriously! Are you telling me your skill hasn't improved one bit since we started training together?"
Charlotte puts her hands around her hips making an "annoyed" gesture and looks down towards Rolan who was still lying on the floor. She bends down and extends her arm to offer her hand and Rolan takes it graciously. Although on the outside she seemed like a demanding individual, deep down she just wanted the best for her younger brother.
It was a sort of worry, even though he wasn't talentless, when compared to herself, he was...mediocre at best.
"Of course not sis! You're just too strong!" Rolan retorted while panting.
He stands up after getting pulled and puts his right hand over his head to rub the area that was hit.
"Well, I'll forget it this time. But you better start working on that shabby skill of yours!"
Charlotte turns and marches off, leaving only Rolan who was still rubbing his head alone on the training grounds.
But as soon as he had seen her walk past a certain distance and he was sure that she wasn't looking. He immediately stopped rubbing and smirked maliciously
"Once again! Perfectly planned!"
He then walks in the opposite direction...seemingly unharmed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So that's my kinda my entire schedule for my day. In the morning till afternoon, I get beaten by my sister. But at night however...

That's when my true training begins!

You see, just next to the Raiser territory are huge mountains known as the Pelunia forest and although it is relatively safe on the outskirts, the deeper you go, the more dangerous the place becomes. Bandits and thieves are a common sight there and roam freely despite it being right next to multiple noble families.

This is due to the forest being called "cursed".

Mana beasts roam the forest exist there, and thus no one in their right mind would enter that forest without a good reason. But for the outlaws and criminals who are trying to escape custody, there is no better place, considering the fact that the forest itself is huge.

But for me, it's an amazing hunting ground!

It's about a few kilometers Southwest of the Raiser mansion and takes quite a while to get there, but even so I spend the time every other night to go there and back because of some reasons.

Firstly, I'm not taking risks to be found out.

Secondly, occasional strong people usually show up among them. They make great practice.

Thirdly, bandits and thieves have quite a bit of money on them.

But today, I'm only heading there for one reason.

To test out my new creation!
