I came from your worst nightmare!

[SWOOSH!]

My guess is that I should be approaching their camp soon.

I hope their in the same place so I don't have to go find them.

Let me explain. About 2 weeks ago, I destroyed bandit camp at the North of the forest, they had only recently set up camp there so I thought I would come in and have some "fun".

"AHHHHHH!" Was what the last bandit said before he died. It seemed like those group of ruffians were actually planning to start a slave trading base there and their group was the so called advancement team. Upon further investigations of their belongings, I found that another group would be arriving in about 2 weeks.

This time, they would be carrying "goods" that a wealthy noble ordered. It was then I thought to myself.

"Goods? Like money? Or treasure?"

Goods wouldn't just be slaves right? There should be other stuff as well, maybe diamonds and rare jewels. After all, if they were bold enough to deal slaves, they would be bold enough to sell illegal jewelry.

But you must be wondering now, why would a noble child like me be in need of money?

Well it goes back to about 2 years ago...

At that time I was working on a huge experiment known as the [Buster blade].

Cool name right? I know, everyone did tell me I had a sense of naming. Not sure was if it because they were afraid of me or not though.

Back to the topic. So you see, the buster blade was a short sword that utilized high amounts of mana concentration to create mini explosions. Something like a small grenade on Earth.

It was fairly easy to create, but because I wanted to create the optimal explosion to material ratio, I spent a lot of money.

At the same time I had just recently started training with Charlotte. She, who was disappointed of my skills later found out I had asked my parents for an absurd amount of money and thought that I was just lazing around everyday spending and not taking training seriously.

Needless to say she complained to our parents about it and I ended up receiving a huge cut in terms of pocket money.

Well if I actually told her what I was using the money for she'd be surprised, and probably would've ask our parents for more money to support what I was doing.

But I couldn't do that because...

That would go against the #2 rule of my Master plan!

[Acting dumb as hell!]

That brings us back to now, where I hunt bandits for extra cash and treasures!

But today I'll be testing out a new creation! The [Shadow pet]!

Cool name right?

Allow me to explain what exactly a shadow pet is.

A shadow pet is an existence I created out of different souls. It was a theory I had in my first and second life, but because in both lives, the world energy there was weak, something like creating a flesh puppet was the most you could do, and even then it wasn't a proper creation.

But now that I'm here in Eval, something like that is nothing! The shadow pet has the ability to not only assist in battle, but also act as a catalyst for performing more powerful spells.

But the most important thing is that it has free will! Although not much, it's something no one could have dreamed of in my first world!

When a mage of a lower rating attempts to utilize a high rate spell, there usually will be no effect. This is because of 2 things.

One, the lower rate mage has not enough mana, not enough mana means that the mage won't be able to cast the spell, in the event that they do, it almost certainly won't be to it's normal potential.

Two, their mana heart has not yet reached the stage of being able to condense such a spell. A mage's rank is usually identified by how much their mana heart has opened up. This essentially means that if your mana heart is not yet ready, your power won't be enough to utilize such a spell.

But the shadow pet nearly negates the latter. By allowing a lower rate mage's mana heart to momentarily open itself up just a bit, it will allow mages to cast spells that is higher than their rank!

So the only thing you have to solve is the issue of not having enough mana. And the shadow pet helps with that too!

The shadow pet absorbs the surrounding dark energy and compiles them into itself, essentially making itself a power bank.

This is especially helpful when mages run out of mana and need to recharge. They can just absorb mana from the shadow pet and need not waste a mana potion that costs a fortune for normal people.

Now that is all said and done, you are probably wondering...

How does the shadow pet look like?

Well it differs from person to person as it's based of their powers but...

The shadow pet, is like what it's name suggests, a shadow. I'll demonstrate it later in battle. But it kinda is like a pet, so I chose the name shadow pet.

Shadow battery or demon companion seemed weird so I threw those away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I guess I've arrived. They seem kind of lively. With all the laughing and cheering they are doing, I guess that they don't seem to care that their comrades have died. I guess that when you're in this line of work, you just don't have any sense of comradery huh.
Well then should I go give them a surprise? But first I need to close my mana heart quite a bit, don't wanna be killing them instantly, after all I still need to test the shadow pet.
Fourth rate should be fine right?
Well then, let's go greet today's prey!
I swiftly charged through the bushes and appeared right in front of them before shouting...
"READY TO DIE?!"
I look over at the star struck face of the two men in front of me, they had been peacefully sitting while drinking some beer but then some child with a sword suddenly appeared out of nowhere to threaten them.
"What the hell is this? Where did this little shit come from?" The first man stood up and clasp the sword on his waist.
"Hey kid, where did you come from." The second man said with a cold voice.
I had half-expected them to charge at me, but I guess they let themselves be less on guard since I look like a kid.
Wait...I am a kid.
"What's the matter, let's just cut him up." The first man unsheathed his blade and walked towards my direction with a huge smile on his face. I'm guessing he's thinking of selling me or something.
"Hey kid I'll ask you once again, where did you come from?" The second man put his hands on his waist and started laughing. I could see the others at the back also grinning maliciously.
"Where did I come from you ask?"
I charged forward and swung once.
[THUNK!]
The first man's head had fallen.
"I CAME FROM YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!"
