Chapter 3_ Jinxed 2

Later that night at Aidan's penthouse.

Aidan freshened up and took out his laptop to continue with his work, when his eyes darted to the necklace with pendant on the glass table.

He was sure it belonged to that weird girl that came to his office earlier.

He picked it up to analyze it properly, he took a closer look at the love pendant which had a slight opening by the side, it was a locket.

He opened the locket to see a picture of a man and woman each on both sides of the heart, Aidan immediately assumed them to be her parents.

It must be important to her, the door pushed open as a tall guy stepped in, he had similar facial features as Aidan.

He had a playful smile on his handsome face which complimented his jet black hair giving him a cassanova look .

Aidan sighed in frustration, this cousin of his likes making an entrance and it annoys him more when he comes to his house unannounced.

Now he watched him roll a key on his index finger, however the necklace caught Brian's attention, he immediately walked over to Aidan and snatched the necklace.

Brian stared awkwardly between the necklace and Aidan.

"Wow bro this belongs to a lady" Brian commented as he fondled with the gold necklace.

" Does it belong to your girlfriend?" Brian asked feeling a bit confused because his cousin doesn't show any interest in ladies, so seeing a lady's necklace with him is quite weird.

Aidan snatched it back " give me that, and how many times will I tell you not to badge into my home late at night" Aidan barked suddenly regretting why he didn't lock the door.

Brian wriggled his eyebrows with a grin on his handsome face, " Come on bro you are always alone no one to talk to in this boring house, so who does it belong to?" Brian said which made Aidan sighed loudly.

" It belongs to a lady who came for an interview today she was quite weird" Aidan simply stated before he returned to his laptop.

" Well return it to her" Brian suggested. " I didn't hire her" Aidan explained, he didn't know why he is answering his cousin's questions, he knew well that Brian will tease him nonstop.

Brian excused himself, while Aidan tapped on his laptop the pendant kept drawing his attention back. "Godammit" he cursed loudly as he threw the necklace further away.

The next morning at Racheal's apartment.

Racheal was making breakfast while lyra laid lazily on the bed watching TV, when she heard the door bell.

"Racheal are you expecting anyone?" Lyra lazily mumbled."no I'm not" Racheal replied.

Lyra got up from the bed mumbling under her breathe. She opened the door to come face to face with a handsome guy smiling at her, she thought she was seeing things so she closed the door and opened it again but he was still standing there except this time he was looking at her head weirdly.

She unconsciously touched her head only to realize her hair was a complete mess, it looks like a birds nest.

She cleared her throat to gain his attention back. "Well who are you here to see?" Lyra asked while brushing her hair with her hands.

Brian was awe struck at that moment his cousin was right this girl is really weird, he went loss for words at that minute all he could do was open his mouth and close it like a fish.

He regained his composure and tried to act cool " I guess this belongs to you" he brought out the necklace from his pocket.

Lyra recognized it immediately and snatched it from him. "How did you get your hands on it" she asked and called out to Racheal.

Racheal popped her head from the side of the door, she saw the necklace dangling from Lyra's hand and touched her neck.

Brian was now confused on who owns the necklace, since there are two ladies.

"Ummm..it fell off yesterday at the office you went for an interview" Brian explained before they misunderstand him.

Racheal smiled sweetly at him showing off her cute dimples "thank you so much, you have no idea what this mean to me" she expressed her gratitude.

Brian's brain ceased to work as he was caught in that pretty smile.

Lyra knew what was going on in his mind so she reacted fast. "Well thank you, have a good day" she hurriedly said before slamming the door shut.

Racheal was quite surprised "lyra that wasn't good at all he returned this to me and you treated him that way" Racheal complained.

Lyra rolled her eyes, her friend was too naive to notice what was going on around her a while ago, if she hadn't done that she was sure they would get married on that spot. "Racheal don't worry about that loser he only did that to feel important" lyra shrugged and returned back to the tv.

Some moments later she screamed which alerted Racheal from the kitchen." What is it?" Racheal asked worriedly as she followed Lyra's line of sight to the tv and was a little shocked.

It was a commercial of the Wilson's brothers, and the guy who just left now was a Wilson.....
