The place like home part 1

The feeling of the place enveloped his senses and Noah welcomed the rush of feelings to come to take him over. This was the only relic of the past that had not been tampered with by the waves of time in a negative way.

Although the magnificent castle no longer existed, the essence of what had made the castle still lingered in the very air. Over the years the once populated city had fallen into ruins by the hands of the very humans that had established it.

The Seni family of that time had already migrated elsewhere, taking Noah with them so he had not been sure about the happenings of the time. But he knew that somewhere around 1700 someone had come back here and established a natural resort.

The once flatlands had been filled up by the tectonic movement and the flatness had given birth to the mountain range which was now far closer than ever before. The building of the present paled in comparison to the far stretches of the city he had gained freedom in and then lost it.

It brought about a bitter taste to his mouth but that too had faded over time. Now all that lingered here was the feeling that this was once a home but he had lost it over time.

Young master Kaito looked mesmerised ever since they had taken the step inside and Noah could not fault the other for doing so. The place was somewhere he had grown up in and had seen the development of.

The very aura of this place was what had made Kaito up into a king. This was all the proof he needed and Noah did not know what to do with the information. Apologise to the other for things that happened so very long ago?

"When was this built? Who built this?" the now younger monarch asked, his voice full of wonder.

"Somewhere around the 1710s. I don't know who it was but the current owner is the Seni corporations under Master Yuu. I'm not sure who holds the land deal through" Noha told the other who looked to be deep in thoughts.

Master Yuu was someone he had met briefly between meetings and the other was someone he genuinely thought was decent.

"Yuu, huh" the other's tone held something that was disturbingly familiar to the war voice of his past and Noah pushed the memories that threatened to overwhelm him. He could not allow those to wave over him right now.

Being around 'this Kaito' was difficult because it made him remember things that he had no business to remember any longer. It made being submissive difficult. Made controlling his powers difficult and it burned.

"Anyway, should we go inside? I'm interested to see the place all over '' the teen took a sharp turn and almost ran inside before he remembered manners and slowed down his pace. Noah felt a wave of emotions which might be fondness blow over and it startled him.

When was the last time he had felt like this before? May be some centuries ago when there were those twin masters - he didn't really remember to be honest.

"Please be careful. I'll make the arrangements for our stay here and for the journey ahead to the rift valley" his master looked at him in a way he could not decipher and that made him somewhat nervous.

"Rift valley still exists?" The astonishment in that voice took Noah back a little. Had his master really not paid attention to anything he said before? He was sure that it had been mentioned before.

He wanted to make a comment on it but then stopped himself. He was not sure that saying this was appropriate anymore in his standing so he kept quiet. Soon the other's attention once again shifted to the landscape and Noah breathed a sigh of relief.

Really, he had no idea how to communicate with others anymore so it all was rather difficult for him at the moment.

As soon as the question of Rift valley had left his mouth, Kaito felt himself flush with embarrassment. That had been a foolish question on his part since he was sure that the other had mentioned it before.

The aura of home and the shock of being back here had done something to his mind and he just felt foolish now all of a sudden.

He watched as the fox looked almost at home among all the soothing waves the place emitted and it felt fresh to him, so nostalgic was this feeling overall. But this all soured with the realisation that this place was no longer his to own.

It now belonged to someone else.

"How nostalgic" Kaito let the thoughts slip out from his lips and then feeling really nostalgic. However, as soon as it hit him that he might have let something slip, his mind panicked.

But the fox was too far away to actually hear anything and this made him sigh out in relief. He had really dodged a bullet right now.

"Master Kaito, would you like to retreat back to the room?" the fox asked and the alpha sighted in content at the voice.

"Please" as much as he wanted to look around more, Kaito could feel his body getting tired after a full day of workout like this. The fox crooked his head to one side and left pretty soon, Kaito following him with his eyes.

However, as soon as the other was out of his sight, anxiety took hold of him all of a sudden and the alpha panicked. His instincts were beginning to itch and Kaito just had to move to scratch the itch.

It was a total coincidence that his direction of travel was the same as the one the omega took to get away from him. His pace was by no means slow and soon he caught up to the shadow of the omega.

The body in front of him stopped just as he got close enough and then stiffed all of a sudden.

"Master?" the soft voice called out and Kaito shivered at that. Then he realised what was different overall - the smell was back. The sweet and flowery smell was back and it was potent this time.

The clogged not only his mouth but also managed to settle inside his nose and he swallowed the saliva that built up inside his mouth. This was really too dangerous like this and it made him wonder - just what had triggered this smell when there had been none before.

And why was he reacting so strongly to it?

"Ah, nothing. I just wanted to know what kind of rooms we would be getting?" It took entirely too much focus to get those words out of his mind and Kaito gritted his teeth in the effort. It was a feeling he was becoming far too familiar with now, to hold back.

"I see" the fox replied with a soft voice and then immediately turned around to walk toward the building's front door. The inside decoration mimicked the traditional setting to a great extent but Kaito had seen the real deal.

Three were too many flaws in the placement and even in the arrangement which made the whole picture stand separate in itself. It was a good mimic but not a perfect one which was a bummer.

If Kiato owned this palace he was sure he could do a better job than this. The front worker was a smartly-dressed female, a beta by her lack of smell and as soon as she saw them, she gave out an artificially cultivated smile.

"Welcome, esteemed guests. How can we help you?" The voice of the female was perfectly crafted to please the ears, the tone flattering and one could tell that she had practised a lot to get it right.

"We have a reservation under Seni name," Noah asked, his voice equally soft but lacking the artificial flavour to it. But maybe it was Kaito's bias talking here.

The words caused that artificial smile to widen by a fraction and Kaito watched as the female almost beamed at the other, her voice even higher in volume.

"Welcome here esteemed masters. You're connected suit is ready, please come this way" he was sure that his family was likely paying a hefty sum to this hotel here because no employee was this happy to see a random guest.

But the room they were lead to was nice, far nicer than his own back home which was an achievement and soon they were left alone to settle in.

"I'll be in the side room. Please get me when you freshen up" and the other
