Chapter 044
The next day, the gang leaders spread all around West Wing took immediate action, disbanding their gangs and surrendering all of their assets to Boss Jay.
As gangster bosses, they had restaurants, casinos and night clubs were most of their money came from.
Drew had only just woken up when he saw Boss Jay standing besides his bed, holding a large file.
"What's it?" Drew yawned.
"These are the deeds to those gangsters assets" Boss Jay replied.
"Oh? that fast?" Drew smirked.
He was satisfied with this result. If he hadn't exposed a bit of his strength the previous day, he knew they wouldn't have treated him so respectfully.
He quickly signed them all and handed them over to Boss Jay.
"Give the deeds to Amelia, she knows what she has to do"
"Yes Patriarch" Boss Jay took his leave.
Drew sighed. His day was just getting busier and busier.

After a quick breakfast, Drew left the mansion. Victoria wanted him to stay a bit and watch tv, however Diego persuaded her not to.
According to him, Drew was now a big shot. As such, he now had a lot of pirorities.
Getting into his car, he drove out of his compound. He hadn't yet forgotten Hugo and his family.
He brought out his phone and placed a call across to Diane. The call connected on the first ring.
"And i was thinking that you've already forgotten me" a pearl of laughter like the chime of a bell, rang from the other end.
"Hah.. You weren't so sentimental Diane. Did you learn that from Maria?" Drew forced out a dry laugh.
He felt bad since he literally seemed to have forgotten about her.
Strangely after obtaining the system, his whole life took a drastic turn. Time became so fast and strange occurences began happening.
Was this the way the affulent lived their life?
"Are you okay? You sound tired" Diane asked softly.
"I'm fine. It's just some late night sleep. So, how are you doing over there?" Drew evaded the question.
"Fine, i guess"
Drew could tell that Diane was unhappy.
"Look Diane, i didn't mean to abandon you at that time. Jace was after my life and i didn't want to endanger you. Look, i'm coming over to pick you up okay" Drew said with a sigh.
"Are you taking me to your place?" Diane's tone became excited.
"Uh.. that isn't proper right? i mean i am staying over with my parents. Won't your dad be worried sick over you?" Drew scratched his beardless jaw.
"Well, i informed my dad that i won't be returning anytime soon. I know that you are trying to open a company. I have a degree in business management. I can be of help!"
Sensing the hopefulness in Diane's tone, Drew just couldn't bring himself to straight up reject her. Plus, he wasn't a dense MC.
He could sense that Diane wanted to just be with him. It wasn't just her, he could also sense that from Amelia too.
Continously pushing her away would just look too heartless and cruel.
'Let's just see how things play out' he massaged his temples.
"Alright. You win" he said with a sigh.
"So, when are you coming over?" Diane asked from the other end, barely able to conceal her excitement.
"Uhm, at most in one hour time" Drew shrugged.

Diane got off the phone with Drew. Eyes twinkling, she couldn't resist releasing a squeal of excitement as she kicked the air with her dainty fair legs.
"Drew is coming!"
"Big sis, why are you so excited? my friends at school once said that his big sis is usually this excited when her boyfriend comes to visit" Rick leaned his small frame against the door, watching Diane with interest.
"What do you know? You guys are just children!" Diane tried to hide her flushed cheeks.
"Big sis, is Drew your boyfriend?"
Diane's cheeks completely went red. She threw a pillow at Rick.
"Get out!"

"You called for me?" Shadowshot strode into Mr. Lewis office.
Mr. Lewis looked up from the book he was reading.
"Yes. I want to discuss that young expert you told me about yesterday"
Shadowshot's eyes flashed with fear when he recalled the experience at Bling night club.
"Have you found out anything about him? like his backstory, where he came from, anything?" Mr. Lewis drummed his finger on the office desk.
"Sir, strangely somebody is deliberately hiding info from us. I have no idea who that man is either. My feeling is that his backing is at work in here" Shadowshot replied, sporting a look of trouble.
"It's fine" Mr. Lewis waved his hand dismissively.
He propped up his jaw in worry. Somehow, he felt a foreboding that West Wing wasn't going to be peaceful.
Shadowshot hesitated a bit, a look of struggle flashed in his eyes. Although it was fleeting, Mr. Lewis managed to notice it.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Sir, the young expert wants to annex all the top gangs assets in West Wing. The others have surrendered, remaining only me" Shadowshot finally revealed.
Mr. Lewis stroke his beards for a bit, guaging the pros and cons.
Shadowshot added, seeing that Mr. Lewis couldn't yet come to a conclusion.
"Although that young expert is powerful, there's no way he can offend the Lovetta family"
Mr. Lewis sighed.
"Revealing myself isn't any option. Just follow the flow. Perhaps, you can even act as my mole"

Hugo and his family sat together, watching a tv show. Hearing Diane's humming from the kitchen, Maria couldn't help commenting.
"Diane really has an angelic voice"
"Hmph. Only so-so" Rick stuck out his tongue playfully.
Hugo smiled.
"I wonder what's the occasion, she doesn't take this long on normal days"
"Maybe it's her birthday?" Maria shrugged her shoulder.
"Maybe"
Rick smirked when he saw his parents blindly guessing. However, he didn't say anything.
However at that moment, the door bell suddenly rang.
"I'll get it!" before any of them could react, Diane zipped out of the kitchen, arriving at the door.
She was all smiles when she opened the door. But they quickly disappeared when she saw who it was.
"What are you doing here Fred?" she glared at the young man standing at the door post.
"What's up princess, you were happy when you opened the door, why are you frowning now huh?" Fred grinned, exposing the dimples on his cheeks.
"I Don't have time for you games" she attempted to bang the door shut. However, Fred shamelessly grabbed on to it.
"Why are you in such a hurry huh? i just got here, won't you invite me in?"
"What's your problem Fred? no means no!"
After saying this, she banged the door shut, locking it from the inside.
"Fred again?" Maria gave Diane a meaningful smile.
"Sheesh! i don't know what's wrong with him. I said i'm not interested. Why won't he just leave me alone!"
Fred was a rich young local tyrant. He always boasted about having a powerful and rich brother. As such, whenever he messed around with any of the local girls, the locals always ignored it.
Fred met Diane while she was shopping for groceries. He became swooned by her beauty and wanted her on his bed.
But how could Diane agree. Not only did she reject him, she also publicly humiliated him.
Ever since, Fred would always publicly harass her, pestering her with his cheap wooings.
Ding-Ding
The door bell rang again.
"Fred you are just wasting your time. Ring the bell all you want, i won't open up" Diane huffed.
"Are you sure~" a teasing voice replied.
Diane felt her heart almost leap to her throat when she heard that familiar voice.
"D-Drew?"
