The Dark Prince and The Runaway Heiress

What bride would want to marry a prince who would put a crown made of thorn on her head? What kind of groom would vow to protect his bride, knowing his task was to kill her in the end? A descendant of a once-powerful and proud Alpha King, Avana pledged to become the next Alpha and swore never to submit to their enemies. But could she run away from her destiny? A son of a Tyrant King, Adam desired revenge against those who killed his mother and condemned him to live as a monster for eternity. But would finding his bride give him what he had sought for centuries? Will Avana and Adam finally succumb to this impending union? Will destiny destroy them or be their salvation? *** "I have searched for you for centuries." Adam grabbed her by the arm, pulling her closer until their faces were inches away. Eyes locked in a battle of will. "Why?" Avana reacted, suddenly drowning in the intensity of his stare. "So, you can hurt me." Saying barely in a whisper. "Kill me?" "No." He responded as his lips grazed through her temple, leaning even closer. "Then, why?" She closed her eyes as electricity coursed through her body with that slight contact of his lips on her skin. "So, I can claim you as mine." LXIV

Adam took the boy home with Cathy, leaving Jace and Avana at the clinic. As much as he would like to spend more time with Avana after their truce in the forest, he knew he had to prioritize the boy.

After depositing the boy in his bed, he left Cathy to attend to him for now. But he would watch his condition closely until his next episode. Because based on experience, this was not an isolated case.

"Adam," He heard Cathy call his name before he could enter his room, which was just beside Kiev.

When he turned, Cathy stood behind him with concern in her eyes. He knew how much Cathy had grown to love the little boy since he arrived in their lives. He could not blame her.

Kiev was special.

"Yes," Adam asked, hinting at what she was about to ask. "Kiev would be just fine. Just tuck him in and rest. I will watch him tonight."
