Jace told her to retire for the night since they could not do much anymore. He assured her he would wake her up if he found a new development.

He was right. Avana agreed as she entered her room, feeling the fatigue of the busy activity she had that day. She might be only half-human, but still, she shared many of their traits.

As she dropped down on the bed, not minding what she looked like, allowing her body to succumb to her tiredness. She was beyond caring about her hygiene as her body demanded a long sleep. She went into a deep slumber, free from any dream.

"Oh my!" She woke up the next day feeling rejuvenated but shocked at her condition. She quickly stood from the bed, finding the white sheets smudged with the dried soil clinging to her body.
