Note: cover art is not my own. Please let me know if it needs to be removed. Rejected by his clan and family, hurt by those who were supposed to care for and protect him, his one goal in life is to get revenge against those who rejected him and cast him out. Eriwin Zohar is an Ice Dragon, one of the rarest species of dragons to walk the face of the earth. One of the most elegant as well. There's one slight problem however- his family was cursed generations ago so that the next ice dragon who was born into their lineage would never develop into a full fledge dragon. Such a secret is one that can never get out to those who would interested in seeing him fail in his endeavor to reach the pinnacle of success in the business world, lift the curse on him, and get back at those who looked down at him. How hard could it to be to keep such a secret?

Chapter 1

Heather Jennings stood with a sigh outside of the office door, glancing at her watch for the fifth time in the last five minutes, was she too early? She think so. The job offer had just requested that she not be late, it didn't say anything about not coming early. Fifteen minutes shouldn't have been too bad anyways.

She wanted to go get this over this already as she felt so out of place in somewhere that looked far too fancy for a person of her status to be standing. The walls were a rich dark blue which was complemented by a rich cream carpet. The art on the wall also looked like it cost more probably earn in six months of good salary though she wasn't quite certain what artist was responsible for the enticing piece of winter land art work that was placed on the wall opposite of the office door.

She swept her caramel brown bangs out of her eyes as she took a deep breath to steady herself. She didn't want to mess this up like she had the last three interviews before this. She had higher hopes for this one though since unlike the other ones, the CEO of this business had specially reached out to her asking if she would like the position as his personal assistant.

She had dressed in her best heather gray blazer with a white blouse and matching gray dress pants and a black purse. She wore black slacks out of fear that she would make a fool out of herself if she chose to wear heels knowing how often she tried and failed to wear them in the past without attempting to kill herself.

She rubbed the blue tiger's eye necklace around her neck for good luck before knocking the door. She held her breath when her knock was met with silence. Were they not in yet? She had felt that it was odd when she had asked the receptionist about her meeting today that they had told her to go ahead and head up to the last floor in the building without seeming to verify her appointment or making sure the boss was in and ready for her. Was this already some kind of test?

She felt sweat prickle on the back of her neck the more seconds that passed by without hearing any kind of reply on the other side of the door that indicated that the man who had requested her appear to do was in their office. About the time she thought that wasn't going to get a response and that she must've come too early, she heard a deep voice speak from the other end of the door.

"You may enter." Heather felt herself release the breath that she had been holding when she heard this. She was almost on the verge of turning around and leaving right before this. Just as she got ready to open the door as though someone had requested it, it clicked open for her an inch.

"You've come much earlier than I had expected you to. I hadn't anticipated for an early bird though I did say not to be late in our correspondence. I at least assume that the person standing in front of me would be Heath Jennings?" The man spoke at first without looking up until he was certain that the other was standing in the room.

"Yes, that's me. I came about the job offer you extend though I'm not sure why exactly you decided to give it to me." She replied. The curtains in the office were drawn, but she could still see the imposing figure of the rather tall man who was sitting behind the desk. Seconds after she had shut the door, the next thing that she became aware of was how chilly the office was, to the point that she felt a chill go up her spine that caused a shudder she couldn't suppress. The man didn't seem to be bothered by this though as he motioned for her to take the seat across from him.

"I appreciate you be wiling to give me some of your time on such short notice. Although I wasn't the one who originally sent out the job offer to you." She could hear the hint of annoyance at the edge of his voice as he spoke. Someone had done it without his permission?

Now that she was sitting down, she could get a better look at his face. He hard short black hair that swept slightly in front of his eyes but not enough to block Heather from seeing that they were a soft ice blue which she knew was a rather unusual color. His cheekbones were rather sharp as well which gave him a slightly sharp look despite having a clean shaven face . He wore a black suit and dress shirt with a deep red tie and sliver cuff links.

"Might I ask who I have the pleasure of being in the company of?" Heather asked once she realized that the other had been analyzing her just as much as she had been him.

"Of course. Eirwin Zohar at your service." Heather sucked in a deep breath after he spoke. Of course it made sense to her now the reason why he seemed different in a familiar way to her.

"You're a dragon!" she exclaimed before she could stop herself.
