The Encounter

Everyone is unaware that there is a residence behind St. Alfonso's church. However, if you have lived in that area for a long time and have attended church on a regular basis, you will certainly identify it. This is the name of the church where the nuns reside, where they grew up and were raised by Father Nicolas, and where they currently live with Amelia. Sister Catalina and Amelia could be heard conversing in weak whispers in their bedroom because they were discussing over how to reunite Sister Damita and Sister Gallelea. They have been avoiding each other for over an hour and the two undoubtedly observe how they ignore one other.

"Go on, Xena. I am confident they will listen to you since you are the source of their feud, and am sure you will be the one to bring them back together." Sister Catalina murmured something to Amelia in hushed tones since they did not want to be heard by the two in their individual bedrooms.

"You are mistaken; I know you are the one who can reconcile them together just because you are their sister, and a sibling can't stand her sibling, can she?" Sister Catalina was taken aback by Amelia's immediate response.

"Don't you remember how I lied recently to Father Nicolas about how they don't fight when they actually do? Oh, God forgive me; I just don't want Father to have any more issues; in our case, he's just too old. I have been thinking too much, and I am not sure whether God forgives me for lying, so could you speak with the two first?" Catalina replies again, as she considers the situation, that she lied to hide the catastrophe that had occurred before.

"But—"

When the door to the room where they were was abruptly opened, Amelia could not even complete what she intended to say, and when the door officially opened, they spotted Sister Damita and Sister Gallelea looking at them both with a grin on their lips.

"We are both fine." The two nuns spoke those words at the very same moment, and their smiles lasted on their lips till that point. While the two of them almost opened their eyes in disbelief at what they had seen, and as a result of Sisters Catalina and Amelia's reactions, sisters Damita and Gallelea just can not help but chuckle.

"We both apologize for what we said earlier; I understand her point, and I understand that we are both influenced by our emotions." Sister Gallelea mumbled something and proceeded straight to the bed where the two were sitting; later Sister Damita also headed in that direction.

Then it was only after they heard what Sister Gallelea stated that their brains realized they did not have anything more to dispute about since their dilemma was solved.

"And I understand what she's saying, so I am going to try to not get too strict from now on." Sister Damita explained that Sister Gallelea was looking at her with a pleasure on her face for a motive. Because they'd already discussed it and admitted their mistakes and misconceptions.

"But don't forget that my attempts to avoid being strict have a limits." Sister Damita said, eliciting a quiet giggle from Amelia.

"I will, mother." Amelia's clear and concise response came as she hugged Damita and Gallelea simultaneously.

"Thank God!" Sister Catalina's throat was almost pierced by a thorn when she spoke such remarks after hearing her two sisters' statements.

"Does that mean you are letting me go tonight at eight o'clock to Cora's home, you know it's her birthday today." Amelia's nervous question was the reason why the three nuns stared at her at the same instant since it was only now that they realized she was leaving later, and it didn't say anything the days before Cora's birthday, she is Amelia's best friend.

"Okay, we will let you go as long as you promise to only read about exceptional creatures once a week from now on, alright? Not every day therefore once a week." Damita and Catalina agreed right away, thus according Sister Gallelea. While Amelia is unsure how she feels about Gallelea's words.

"That's alright; you don't have to hide from us every time you borrow Lesly's phone and read in secret; in fact, if I were you, it's better now since you are free to do anything you want, right? but there's still a limit." Sister Catalina explained because when she noticed Amelia could not respond straight away, she figured it was because she was loud and chatty. As a result, Catalina had memorized every moment of Amelia's silence.

"Of course, I concur. I am downright shameful because I should be the one you are scolding, and you should not be the one fighting recently. My mind is just so obstinate, you reminded me but I did not obey." Amelia's sadness could be evident on her face as she stated those words, and as such the three nuns embraced her instantly to alleviate her despair.

"Sisters!"

"Sisters!"

"Sisters!"

When the three nuns heard a familiar voice outside their home, their attention was drawn forward. They instantly left the room and opened the front door of their house, where Lesly's face appeared, panicked and nearly gasping for air, owing to the speed with which she rushed.

"You are making us nervous; what do you necessitate? A broom? A dustpan? Food? We don't have any of those; start asking Father Nicolas, and he will most certainly provide it." Catalina stated it, and she did not even lose her sense of humour with every word she said, as she always did. Two nuns reprimanded her by pinching the side of her waist.

Amelia instantly brought her some water since she has been out of breath and she wanted her to relax somehow. She straightaway got her phone out of her pocket after drinking a glass of water to view the news she had scooped up and sought online, she went straight to the video, which had been reported by a well-known journalist in their nation.

"Philippines, good evening! Just got a shocking news claiming that exceptional beings known as vampires are rising in our country today. I know the majority of viewers will think this isn't real, but it is, and it isn't simply a folk story. Vampires have already killed over a hundred individuals in just two hours, and their bodies have been discovered in numerous locations and people who witnessed the incident have already confirmed the occurrence. As a result, we urge everyone to exercise caution and, if possible, avoid leaving your respective houses. I am Meara Curtis, and I am here to bring you news that is both neutral and truthful. Stay safe everyone!"

Amelia's eyes widened in surprise as she heard the news; she really can not believe what she was hearing, she was still unsatisfied, so she listened to the news once again.

"Don't worry, our force is formidable; we are in the Lord's hands and within his home." Damita quickly appealed to the two nuns, Gallelea and Catalina, to get rid of their uneasiness.

Damita instantly instructed Catalina and Gallelea to go to Father Nicolas at mass to remind him before everything will be too late hearing that news, tonight, the priest's liturgy is coming to a close. The two hurried straight to Father Nicolas, and the ceremony had just ended, so Gallelea and Catalina assisted each other in closing the gigantic door of the church, fearing that they would be attacked by vampires.

Meanwhile, Father Nicolas was perplexed by the two nuns' actions and really couldn't help but inquire as to what was going on.

"Father, there is reports that vampires are spreading throughout our country, and that many people have already perished as a result of this unforeseen catastrophe. As a corollary, we must be cautious to avoid being attacked if anyone tries to enter where we are. No one should leave the church from now on; as long as we can simply remain here, we are safe." Sister Catalina delivered a detailed explanation.

Meanwhile, Father Nicolas is undecided on whether to believe Gallelea or chuckle at her because he does not at all believe in such things because he has never witnessed them in his life. But he was well aware that anything was conceivable. Even as he continues to age, there are still things he hasn't seen, and that doesn't mean they aren't true. So, despite his doubts, he chose to assist in closing the church window, despite the fact that his knee was already weak.

Sister Gallelea proceeded to the rear of the church, where there is a fountain that people are visiting after church, she slammed the door shut and doubled it by blocking the door with a massive steel.

Meanwhile Sister Damita and Lesly are diligently sealing the vampires' probable entrances to their home behind the church. Amelia, on the other hand, is seen standing still and unsure of what to do; if you look closely, it appears like she is deep in thought.

"I need to notify Cora about the vampire outbreak; she can't celebrate her birthday because it would undoubtedly attract the attention of those creatures. I must save her and her family." Amelia spoke gently to herself, and while the two were busy locking windows and putting traps in that way, she thought of going out a door that had not yet been closed; by the time she entered, he could easily walk out of the church's back gate.

There are two ways that finally get to the rear of the church where the fountain is placed. The first is a massive entrance on the other side of the church where people enter anytime they wish to see the huge fountain, and the second is inside their home in which they are living.

She did not actually bother informing the nuns since she knew she wouldn't be permitted, especially because the nuns' disturbed and apprehensive reactions to the incident would be observed. Even though it was seven o'clock in the evening, she spotted people outside the church and children playing in the street when she exited.

"Go home! there are news that vampires are assaulting our country right now; so don't ever go out. Save your loved ones, go home!" People only stared at Amelia as she yelled those words again and over, and some even scoffed at her for thinking she was crazy.

Ignoring the fact that she could no longer talk due to a slight hoarseness, she refused to give up and continued to warn people.

Despite the reaction of the people, she raised her voice even higher, hoping that the throng would follow her. "All of you kids, you don't have to go out anymore; you might go home!"

"Are you insane, Amelia? You are scaring the children; that's what you get from reading fictions about unusual beings." Natalia abruptly claims that, she is always the antagonist in Amelia's life since she always criticizes the womans behavior. She was Amelia's primary school classmate, and she had no idea what was wrong with her. Natalia had just come from church, so it was clearly dressed well, and she was simply hanging around with her pals outside the church.

"I placed my fascination with that sort of thing behind, Natalia. I wasn't nurtured by the nuns and Father Nicolas in the church only to make up a ridiculous myth or to scare others. Take a gander at your phones and check the news through social media for confirmation; if you don't believe me, it's none of my responsibility; the significant fact is that I warned everyone of you here." Amelia stated firmly after uttering those words that she could not wait for the reaction of others and proceeded down the road leading to Cora's house, her friend.

The others promptly checked their phones to see whether Amelia's claims were correct.

"She's correct, Natalia; vampires have gone viral on social media, and we need to hurry home!" One of Natalia's friends who was with her revealed that she even informed Natalia the news about it, loudly and nervously. People outside the church approached her to get the news because of the volume of her yell, people rushed to that area after hearing the news and then returned to their houses.

While on her way to a friend's house, Amelia had previously heard mysterious noises, but despite her uneasiness, she opted to continue going while praying in her head. As she moved in that direction, she sought to erase the terror that was steadily rising in her thoughts. But she failed because, despite not having gone all the way in that direction, she heard a loud and horrifying hiss, as if emanating from an unusual creature.

When she spotted a vampire with red eyes and fangs that were obviously quite sharp at first glimpse, she understood she could not escape out of her position and attempted to hurry up her walk. She was baffled as to why she could not shout for help, since she knew that it is what the usual individuals do when they are in the midst of danger.

Until now, she did not understand why she could not move, but she was aware that her entire body was tension and she could scarcely control herself. When she realized the vampires were going to suck her neck and consume her blood, she could not really comprehend why she seemed to have no reaction, as if she was in control or hypnotized.

For those moment, she did nothing except close her eyes and wait for her death. However, she did not feel any bite on her neck or any other part of her body for several seconds until she closed her eyes for a minute.

Although only a chilly wind and deafening silence confronted her, that was then she opened her eyes, she stumbled upon two vampires who were already lying on the ground and their bodies were covered with scratches and were already drenched in their own blood. Following that, her attention was drawn to the suspected perpetrator of the incident.

"You are real.." Only words she murmured as she gazed at a creature with a skin combination of black and white hues and has dazzling gold eyes.

She just stepped backwards when she observed that the wolf was growling aggressively and fiercely at the time, as if it intended to kill her, which is why she sat anxiously on the ground out of fear.
