A letter by Uncle Ben

Present day, New York

(Back to Serena's Pov)

"Does that means that Uncle Benjamin was shooted?" I asked crying loudly

Tom was sobbing too. Jason, Jared and Aphrodite was consoling us.

" I think so..." Alan said taking up a long breathe. He eyes felt so numb and weak. All of us spent some time in silence, with our grief. Finally I broke the silence by asking Alan angryly, "Why didn't you tell this to me before?"

"Seriously Serena, I was shocked by the incident myself. After going home after meeting your Uncle I wasn't able to sleep peaceful at all. I searched about the book on other books and dark web. I tried several ways to find your number. Though I had your address I was scared to post you that letter because I was scared that it could go into wrong hands. I finally made up my mind and convinced my parents that I want to go New York for higher education. They were totally shocked by my decision but thankfully I had my uncle here. I tried talking so many times to you at school but did u ever bothered. I even wrote u up a letter so that we can meet up but you ran away without a damn reason." Alan said

"Oh, so the letter was for that thing." Jared said

"I'm extremely sorry Alan" I said

"I choosed to ignore you because you were really mean on that day."

"I was in stress bro" Alan continued "Mr Benjamin had given me a letter and with that letter he gaved me that watch too. I had kept that as a profile picture that by any chance you could recognize that watch and thankfully you did. I will get the letter." He said and went back to his house.

Alan came back and gaved that letter to me. He gaved up the watch to Tom and said, "Here, this is rightfully yours." Tom hesitated to take the watch but than he finally took it and cried.

I saw the letter, it was never opened

"You didn't open it" I asked

"No" Alan said

"Why" I asked

"Though I was very curious to know about the letter and the curse book but it wasn't something ethical to open someone else letter and read it. I stick to my morals." He said As his eyes shined bright

On the front of the letter was my name and my address. Opening the letter, I read aloud

"My dearest Serena

How are you my little mouse, how is mom & dad? And my brother and my sister in law? And how is my little Tom? I hope you all are just amazing dear. I didn't even wanted to get you involved in this but if this letter has reached you that it is a biggest achievement ever. I don't know if I will even be alive or not till this letter reach you. But Serena listen really really carefully. I found a book in my biggest project, lots of evil people are behind that book. You need to destroy it for the betterment of people and humanity. But the way won't be any easy my child. There are gonna be many evil people who are not gonna let you do it. Not just people but evil spirits too. But there will be good people and good spirits that will guide your way. The book which I gifted you on your birthday will give you hints to this puzzle. May the Light guide you the way.
