James Horton

"I don't understand what you want me to say to you" The boy rebuffed not willing to succumb to anything they were planning on throwing at him.

"Okay let's start with the easy question. What's your name?" Charles asked hoping he would answer this time around.

"James, James Horton". The boy replied immediately hoping that after the questioning, he'd be set free.

"Okay James, how old are you?"

"Sixteen" He blurted almost immediately.

The two men looked at each other before turning towards the boy. They didn't want to believe that a sixteen year old boy was capable of what they were thinking but they wanted to hear it from his mouth. King had suggested raiding his mind and finding out everything he knew about the Guild and it had seemed like a wonderful idea except that when he tried, he couldn't break in to the boys head. They were so many forces in one head, most likely the souls he released into the objects he carried around and none of them looked happy.

He had barely escaped from the boys head. His prison was his body which made him even more dangerous. They didn't know how or what the Guild had done to this boy but they knew that letting him go back to them and training more under their evil teachings definitely meant bad for any Advocate he might encounter in a fight in the future.

"We're not gonna hurt you, we want to help you" King made clear even though the boy being bound up spoke on the contrary.

"I was born with it" He replied moving his eyes away from Charles's stare

"Born with it?" The two of them asked.

"Yes?" He replied equally confused by their reaction.

They both exchanged glances once again, someone being born with powers was almost impossible. The only way they knew one attained powers was by their baptism and for the Guild, from what they've heard it was by sacrifice made to their goddess Lilith, the queen of underworld and the mother of demons.

"You meant a sacrifice was performed for you?" King corrected but the boy still maintained the fact that he was born with it.

King was almost pushed into reading this boys mind but the risks that followed such action was almost suicidal. This boy was his natural enemy at the moment. His powers had absolutely no effect on the boy but he suffered the backlash.

"I don't think he's lying" Charles spoke to the man mentally not wanting the boy to hear them discuss about him openly.

"And I can't read his mind" King added clearly not following with Charles's words. Nobody was born with powers and even if they were, not one this powerful.

"What's your father's name?" King asked. The possibility of him being born with powers could only be true if his bloodline was truly powerful that sacrifices weren't needed for power transfers.

"Martin Brown" The boy replied immediately.

'Impossible' King exclaimed in his head. Martin Brown was the current leader of the Satan's Guild, the first son of Joshua Brown, the jealous twin.

"Why do you go by Horton instead of Brown?" Charles asked staring even more intensely at the boy.

"Because I want to kill him!" They boy cried out almost throwing the two men off balance with his words.

"That bastard toyed with my mom's emotions and when she was pregnant with me, he left her!" He explained without them even asking.

Things were begining to make a lot more sense but the way this boy opened up so easily seemed rather weird. The hate for his father was so intense that he didn't even care in hiding it.

"Why are you working for the Guild?" King asked.

"To get close to him. He made me homeless, he made my mother commit suicide because she couldn't live without him. I'm going to be the one who kills him and anyone who tries to stop me will suffer the same fate!" James yelled.

The resolve of this boy was almost entertaining. He had already made up his mind about his father's destruction and for some reason, it made them happy. If they could win him over to their side, then he could be their inside man on the Guild and provide them with important Intel that could help them in stopping their homicidal rituals

This James was the perfect card and they had to play it wisely.
