[Beep… yes?] replied Vice

{How long will it take Layla to finish her evolution?} asked Breder

[That depends on you… you can stop it at the drone phase or continue it till she reaches the Praetorian stage or wait a full week till she hatches into a full queen! As for empress evolution, it will take some time for your hive won't reach the requirements for a long time.] Vice paused then continued

[To be fair you shouldn't even have the royal guards until you have around 300 living Xenos! In fact, the only reason I even let you buy the eggs was because the evil god told me to! What I think I should have given you instead, should have been the elite guard eggs that make up the palatine. Then the Palatine become "royal guard" when they have received the queen's royal jelly and survived the process!] Vice paused again then continued

[And that "error" you saw when you bought Mirielye was also because of God interference! As you know, crushers are also a lower type of "royal guard" from the runner evolution path once they become sentries!] said Vice then continued

[Oh Yes! One more thing, remember once she becomes a queen, she will be huge… like massively so… are you sure you want to keep her in this... cramped cave for a woman of her size? I recommend you stop her evolution at Praetorian phase then find more… suitable location… one that has abundant "food" in the surrounding area for a queen is not easily hidden on the move…]

After hearing and agreeing to Vice advice, Berder decided to sit and wait for the next three days in this cave for the minions to finish their metamorphosis from chest burster to full adult Xeno. But on the eve of the second day, Breder woke up to the sounds of dogs and men puking blood and calling out! For as men panicked, while their chest pumped, with gushing eyes and drowning mouths, the babies burst free from their rib cage!

Free to breathe the morning air they feasted patiently on their incubator for substance, they ate to the tunes of music as the puppies whimpered and contorted! With agony filled eyes, they bled till their ribs popped like corn in the summer heat!

The sight of ten adorable baby Xenos brought tears to the eyes of Breder as he looked at them with loving care. Unfortunately for Breder, Elphe would step in to block his attempts to hold them for a while and even when he was "allowed" to hold them it was only under the scrutinizing gaze of Elphe! Breder would then kick rocks in the back of the cave when Elphe told him to put them down and let them eat or rest!

As the day began to close, they started to meta-morph, seeing as there was nothing else to do, Breder took out the "garbage" aka the dead bodies and tossed them by the mother corpse. That he had been eating it with Elphe and Mirielye for the past two days.

On the eve of the third day

As Breder slept, the first sound he heard was that of a crying howl! Only to be followed up a few moments later by a raging howl! Breder was now annoyed that he was woken up by some annoying dog! Gingerly walked out of the cave, only to be met by a big muscular Mingan! Seeing the Mingan crying over the death of his mate and pups, only made Breder salivate!

{So… daddy finally came home… and it looks like he brought the "milk"! he took so long I thought he would never return!} thought Breder to himself as he noticed the dead animal next to the Mingan.

As the Mingan sniffed the corpse of his mate he turned to look at Breder's big fat grin with such rage the veins beneath his fur popped! Hearing the commotion, Elphe and Mirielye both came out to see what was going on, when they were stopped by Breder. He told Mirielye to sit and watch and only make a move if it looks like the Mingan will enter the cave. As for Elphe he quietly whispered something into her ear.

The Mingan ferocious with blood shot eyes, charge at Breder! Now Breder knew he couldn't kill this one like the last one! For this one was way bigger, its bite would not just bite his shoulder but might just be able to swallow him whole! Plus, he would rather not feel that pain again of being a chew toy!

Father Mingan short Pov: moments before the confrontation and during

[Sigh… I hope she is not too mad this time… it's getting harder and harder to find good prey out here! If only those damn humans didn't drive us from our home! Or… killed so many… I hope my older brother manages to find something… well he should be back at the cave by now!] thought the male Hingan

Unfortunately, his hopes were dashed against the rock, as he realized something was wrong the second, he was within sniffing distance from the cave! Rushing back, he dropped his kill as he stared slack jaw at the corpse of his mate… with brain refusing to comprehend what his eyes were telling him, he approached the body, when he realized it wasn't only his mate's corpse but also that of his children! With a breaking heart he howled, with raging heart he howled!

As he mourned for his dead, he heard movement coming from the cave, hoping that maybe… just maybe it could be one of his pups… He stared hopefully at the entrance! For so alluring was that vain hope that he forgot to check the scent in the air… But just as the creature stepped out into the light of the morning did the father know! With, blood-stained eye he stared at the one who killed his mate and children!

With reason lost, he charged at the creature, only to see it dodge him while sliding just underneath him! As the creature clawed at his underbelly while stabbing his legs with its tail! With pain ignored, the Mingan tried clawing the creature, only to see its claws being parried by the tail of the beast in front of it! With each parry spark flew! With each parry the tail sparked as it hit the rock around! But through the parries the Mingan snuck in a headbutt! The creature could not hold its ground when it was hit this time! Slamming into the cave wall the creature hissed!

Seeing its foe finally rearing in pain, the Mingan roared in minor victory! Only to be shot in the mouth by acid spit! With a choking and burning throat, the Mingan looked up to the top of the cave to see Elphe! Elphe, not amused seeing her now "father" being thrown into the wall, enrages her! She began to hail down acid at a frightening pace!

Enraged by Elphe interference the Mingan charge at the cave only to be punch in the head by Breder as he forced himself out of the wall, though the punch hurt, the Mingan didn't feel so and counterattack by slamming Breder with is back side, sending into the cave entrance this time! Seeing its prey vulnerable, the Mingan charged in, ready to devour his prey alive at all costs!

But as it approached the creature before it, the Mingan had a momentary sense of clarity, for the creature that should be scared for its life right now was sitting there without a care in the world! But not having time to stop his momentum the Mingan went in for the bite! Only to receive a punch from on top of his head!

As the Hingan head slammed into the earth below its feet, four other creatures that were 4.5 meters tall {if counting the tail} jumped on top of him! With freshly sharpened tails they stab! With freshly, sharpened claws they tore! Flesh by flesh, bone by bone, chunks by chunk! As the Mingan was at death's door he stared at Breder from the pool of blood made from his own flesh!

With a hiss from Breder the royal guards ceased their attacks! Watching the Mingan cursing him with his eyes, while bleeding out, Breder knowing he didn't have much time left before the Mingan died, went back into the cave as if to get something… upon his return he held the last surviving pup from the pair in his hands! For there weren't just five puppies but six! It only survived this long without it mother love, for Breder was feeding it, its mother flesh! Seeing his pup in the hands of his murder only furthered his undying hatred for the beast… No! Not a beast but the monster before him!

As Breder held the pup by the neck, Breder used his free hand to claw the still beating heart out of the puppy! As the puppy slowly died in his hands, he dropped like he was throwing away rubbish! As he raised the red jeweled heart, he bit into it as if it were an apple! Right in the dying eyes of the Mingan!

He then slowly bent down and whispered into the ear of the Mingan

{Tell your god, when you see him. That I will kill all his children! OH! And tell your mate that, her children tasted delicious!} said Breder with much contempt

The Mingan, hearing those words, willed his body one last time to move! But just as it moved the five royal guards plunged their tails right into his heart!
