Chapter twenty: the lotus pond

Heaven Alizah Dianne's pov:

"The both of you, that's enough dancing. The parade will start soon and l need you to come along with me, Heaven" the king mindlinked me and Jeremy. "Sorry, it seems l have to go now" l said. "It's okay, you can go now" he said smilingly. And l teleported out of the hall. The king, Xavier, Stephenie, and Lucas are already waiting by a fleet of cars. Geez, the car in front is so beautiful, they really take alot of time in decorating it. "Good, did you enjoyed yourself back there?" Xavier winked. "Yes l did, thank you for asking" l said simply, and he chuckled. "Sorry for being late everyone" said a lady as she approached us. She bowed to the king and wrapped her hand around Lucas's. And Lucas smiled sweetly at her, l've never seen him smile at all. It seems this woman is his mate. "It okay Evelyn" said Stephenie smilingly. Then Evelyn looked at me and smiled, "you must be the king's new personal hand maid, nice to meet you". "Nice to meet you too, my lady" l smiled. "Let's get going" Eugene said. And with that, we entered the car. The king, me and his personal bodyguard as the driver took the beautiful car. And Xavier and Stephenie took a separate car, Lucas and his mate took another car. And with that we drove around the kingdom. The people cheered and rained phoenix blossoms on us as we passed. We passed by my house too, l saw my brothers waving at me. Although the car is magically tinted, thanks to their tribid eyes they could see me. Oh, did l forgot to mention, my brothers are tribids, a combination of demon, werewolf, and witch. I smiled and waved at them too. "Do you know them?" Eugene asked. "Yes, they are my brothers. You have met them before , at the hospital" l explained. He didn't react to that. We are almost done with the parade, we will be back at the palace soon. But l don't want to back to the hall, l've gained too much attention. But the king won't let me go, maybe l should ask him. "Your majesty, l'd like to ask for a favor" , now he looked at me with a dead pan face. "Go on" he said coldly. 'Does he always have to be this cold and rude' my spirit Flora said. "Can l please not go back to the hall with you?, The men are giving me uncomfortable stares. And it is really making me feel uncomfortable" l said politely. If puppy dog eyes could work on him, l might use it. He stared at me for a long while, did he even hear anything l said just now. "Fine, you can go wherever you like" he finally said. "Thank you your majesty" l said politely.

Soon the parade was over, and the king and the others went back to the hall. "Aren't you coming with us?" Said Lucas. "No, l don't like the stares and attention l'm getting in there. So I'll just walk around the palace" l said. "Okay, see you around Heaven" said Stephenie. And with that they all entered the hall. And just like l said, l walked around the palace. After a while, l saw a beautiful garden not as beautiful as the garden created by a spirit. I decided to take walk around the garden. The garden is so wide. It has a lot of rare flowers growing in here Then suddenly l heard a movement. It came from behind a huge flower wall. I looked at the direction but didn't see anyone. But l can feel his presence. "Who is there?" I asked as l appoached. Before l could touch it, Jeremy opened a space within it. "Jeremy", "shhh" he shushed me before l could complete my sentence. And pull me with him. He lead me to a large poisonous pond. "What are you doing here?" He asked me. "I just came here to enjoy the view. Why are you here?" I asked back. "Same as you" he said. "What is this?, Is this supposed to be a pond?" I asked. "Yes" he replied. "Then why is it reeking of poison?" I asked. "Because, a fight between a knight and a dark demon happened here. And in the process this lotus pond got infected with the demon's dark poison and became like this" he explained. "I see" l said. Dark demons energy and poison are very toxic , they are impossible to detoxify but not for me though, l can purify their energy and detoxify their poison. "This lotus pond, is my most favorite place in the kingdom. My twin sister and l used to come and play here. Although she is dead now, l still feel her presence whenever l come here" he said sadly. I placed my hand on his shoulder, "Sorry, l would have said l'm sorry but l don't apologize for things that are not my fault" l said. He laughed at that. "It's not that l don't sympathize. I just don't apologize for things that are not my fault" l said. "No it's okay, it is the right thing to do actually" he said. We fell silent for a long while , just staring at the pond. Then an idea popped in my head. "Jeremy, do you believe that this pond can go back to it's original state" l said.
