CHAP 21: Fight

The boy turned away from us, having finished telling his history, he dismissed my offer, since he believed he was already free. He started putting on some code on the terminal, and made an flick in his hat, which sent us the money, putting me at 2100 million yen, so they sent us double? Having all the money in the world and nothing to do with it really makes people generous. The code started an launching sequence, one minute for the rocket launch. As the sequence started, the Executioners appeared from behind the pillars, and when i say Executioners, i mean not an pair, or two, but probably atleast 30 pairs. So they went with the bigger trap? That means they knew we were here, proof of an traitor, and considering the traits of the Akudama, the only rat who would be capable of betraying us would be the Doctor, considering this train of thought, i immobilized her and put my gun up to her head.

"Amateurish behavior, dear. Should've made it atleast less obvious."

I commented in her ears, it seems she is surprised i knew it was her, her pride has made her ignorant. The children were agitated by the Executioners appearance, Brawler was pumped up, and Courier seemed bothered that the job wasn't finished yet. I was hiding my face behind the Doctor, don't want to be hunted by Umbrella yet. I started backing up to get cover, but the Executioners started shooting at Doctor anyways, it seems they don't care about their deal that much. I finally managed to get behind cover, and put on the mask i had made with some of the metal we found before, it was unconfortable, but i had no choice if i wanted my plans to work. Doctor tried to cut me with one of her scalpels, but i dodged and broke her arm. I got up and put my foot at the base of her spine, shooting back at some of the Executioners, my internal agent was among them(i didn't really aim at her), and she seemed scared i would be hurt, but since i didn't give her the signal, she continued attacking me, or made it seem like it.

I kneeled, took one of the Doctor scalpels and pricked my finger and her neck, i put an very big amount of melatonin in her bloodstream, which put her to sleep. I'll deal with her later. Courier had defended the children, saving Olivia with the same stone. Since i didn't have to keep Doctor immobilized anymore, i was capable of aiming more accurately, hitting two Executioners in the forehead, they're fast, but my bullets are faster.

Oooooh, they give an lot of experience, i like it. Time to farm, then. I checked how much spare bullets i had left, 20, better make sure not to waste it. I used {Dead Eye} and my perspective of time slowed down, in this state, i killed 4 of the Executioners attacking Courier, and shot the six who were fighting against Brawler, killing two, making one dodge and be hit by one of Brawler's punches and hurting the other three.

I held myself from facepalming because of the situation i was in, that situation being killing the elite of the police of Kansai, but i couldn't hold myself from sighing, my mask wasn't exactly cold, in fact, it was almost like an cooking pot made for my head, so i accelerated my killing, making sure to hit the heads of the Executioners, i used up all of my bullets, ending 19 and hurting 5, with the one odd out being the one who dodged and got hit by Brawler before. They didn't retreat, sadly, and Courier was badly hurt from the unending attacks, Brawler as well, the little girl managed to enter the rocket, but the boy didn't, and when they secured him, they threw something at the rocket and retreated. Fuck.

Finally some stats. As i commemorated atleast one of my victories, the rocket launched with the little girl inside, some of the Executioners flew behind it with the helicopter, while the ones with the boy retreated with their boss. Brawler was almost dead, Doctor's patching up was made to fail, it seems, and Courier was badly hurt as well, Cutthroat was sitting against an wall with an hole in her stomach, looking at me. I hugged Olivia, who was besides the white-haired girl, and put her to sleep the same way i did with Doctor. Brawler was laughing while in the ground. I pulled out my revolver and shot him with an magical bullet, finally ending his life.

Courier turned to me, wide-eyed. He pulled out his hand, but i shot his hand, what made him drop his weapon, i got closer and took off my mask, giving him his last moments.

"I'm sorry, Hayato" His eyes opened up even more, since i called him by his real name. "Your usefulness has expired"

And, with an bang, Courier was no more. I turned to Cutthroat, she seemed sad that i had betrayed them, but was accepting of her death.

"Don't worry, Cutthroat, you've proven useful, so your death won't be by my hands."

I sat besides her, and she seemed relieved, everyone, even an psychopath, fears death, after all.

"I wasn't the one to give the Executioners our location, in reality, it was Doctor. I only killed them because i don't like leaving loose threads."

I don't know why i justified my actions to her, i just did.

"I'll trust you to keep this an secret between us, okay?"

I made an 'shush' with my fingers and winked at her while asking this. She nodded. Since she was an good girl, i patted her head and patched her wound up so she wouldn't die of blood loss.
