6 Deja vu

The sudden pain in the heart went away in a blink. The captain was unable to move a muscle but he could hear everything. What he was hearing, was not making any sense. Why was Cikaya taking hit from him? It was rather surprising. But everything became clear to him as when Cikaya bent down to get his sword and looked towards the captain.

He was ruby red.

'Can the new guy be the mastermind?'

Before he could think about anything he had to save himself. He could see Cikaya had raised the sword above his head, and it is coming down for his throat fast.

But no matter how he tried to move his body it wasn't helping. Right at the moment, the sword reached him all constraints of his body vanished in a blink.

He concentrated all the defensive energy of his armour at his throat and rolled to another side, took out an arrow from the quiver and thrust it in Cikaya's leg. All of these happened even before Cikaya's sword missed and hit the ground.

Even the captain was surprised. He felt that he was enhanced again. He had made the breakthrough.

His speed and agility increased by a lot, though it's not as fast as Grim, it's still comparable to him. He might not be so helpless in fighting ruby-eyed Grim now, even without his heightened state.

'It is not the right time to be a narcissist.' The captain got on four looked around. The new guy already went into the fog. Ruby-eyed Cikaya looked at him without emotion and charged towards him with full force.

The captain looked around to find the shield, it's behind Cikaya. He couldn't get it nor did he want to. He had a feeling. He won't be needing it. He took out another arrow and charged towards Cikaya. The moment captain got into the range Cikaya used [sword dash], unsheathing the sword in a flash.

The speed was so first and so much strength had been put in it, it would have sliced a human in half. That would have been the case for captain too. But it was lucky for him that he made a breakthrough. Cikaya made 4 [Sword Slash] but that all of that just able to cut down the after image.

The captain vanished right after he appeared behind Cikaya and stabbed with the arrow on his back. With the little armour, Cikaya had even with the captain's previous strength he would have been able to pierce through, much less now.

But the captain wasn't able to control his speed when stopped behind Cikaya and trembled a little. As he stopped his leg muscles began to throb like crazy. His ability enhanced but the body wasn't accustomed to it.

'I need training'. He looked towards the dense fog. It was the feeling again. Something dangerous was lurking there. Right now he didn't have to worry about Cikaya. As he was already fatigued, the two arrows were already enough to bring him down.

It was up to him whether or not to go in the fog. But he was confused. His team was broken, he might be the only one who was left standing. But even with the breakthrough, he didn't have the chance against the new guy. Who knows what power he was hiding? He slowly went to his shield and pick it up. He made up his mind. No matter what he had to protect the girls, even he had to make his last stand.

And he didn't think the client wouldn't be so heartless not to send a protector for the girl who had such a powerful enemy. He just needed to hold on until they come.

The Captain went towards the fog. He could feel the temperature was rising as he was getting close to the fog. He was surprised. It didn't happen last time. But the resolution was broken soon. As the fog blackened, he jumped behind the tree.

**Boom**

The explosion was strong, it blew away all the fog. Everything inside the fog became clear. The captain saw Mayumi was seated cross-legged while Kisa was protecting her. To his surprise, Kisa was actually blazing. She was in a battle ready position. There was no gap in her defence. It was something that couldn't be achieved in one day, nor could it be mastered by a child. She must be the protector.

Kisa was staring towards the new guy. As the captain looked at the new guy, he was surprised. Is this really him? But he couldn't be too sure. More than a human, he just looked like a lump of meat paste. And that was wiggling. It's wiggling continuously. It's trying to take a form. But he couldn't. Suddenly it stopped wiggling.

The captain was surprised. Was he really dead? Is that Girl or Woman really strong? Why didn't she stepped in before? If she had done that, those guys wouldn't have died. But the agitation didn't show on his face. It's not a place where he could do that. It's the world where strong should be respected. He went to Kisa and gave a bow.

"Oh! It's the captain" Her attitude changed totally. "It's good to see you alive."

The captain smiled and said, "It's thanks to you."

Kisa laughed heartily "If I had been protecting you no one would have died."

The captain didn't say anything else. Looking at his face Kisa said, "But you could understand that I am here to protect her, not anybody else."

That he could certainly understand. It's her work. So captain Nodded. But Kisa faces stiffened. At the moment another person came out of the fog. It's the person with the minimum amount of exposure in the team, named Borobo.

"He is the one."Kisa said with a serious tone.

Hearing this the captain was surprised. He looked into his eyes. It's was clear.

"But his eyes are not ruby."

"Of course idiot, it's not rudy eye, because he was the one who was controlling other."

"Then that guy??" The captain asked.

"He was just a puppet, send in to check the water. Now he cleared all your teammates and knew about me so he came out" Kisa said in a stern voice.

"Who is he?" The captain was beyond curious.

"He is Borobo, but not Borobo you know, it's Borobo the Hunter"

"A real HUNTER species??" the captain turned silly. The last word of Kisa was like a death sentence to him.

"Borobo means thief, we call him identity thief. He was one of the hunters who can steal people's identity too" Kisa added with a nod.

The hunter had a special relationship with the elementals. Once there was a hunter who had hunted a child of an elemental king, to get the synergy. The elemental king was furious, he called two elemental grand dukes and went to fight. They fight for quite long before they could kill the hunter. But somehow that hunter came back from death killed one of the Grand dukes and massacre the city he was in. Then under the order of the king of the elemental country 3 of the elemental kings went and killed him. Though the hunters hunt anybody with synergy, bloodline or strange power, Elementals were their favourite prey. Some say that even a simple hunter with more than two power is stronger than an elemental count.

And the captain believed that no matter how powerful she could be, Kisa couldn't be an Elemental Count. Otherwise, she shouldn't be sent on such a mission.

"Stand back and protect Mayumi" Kisa was serious.

Though he had gotten a breakthrough, his limits were clear to him. There was no way he could do anything in front of them, so he stepped back to protect Mayumi.

The blaze that died down a moment ago, flared up again around Kisa.

"Are you a torch?" Borobo asked, "No you can't be, you are just a child. Or you might be a granny who turned into a child." Borobo gave an expression of enlightenment "Oh! So you have that kind of fetish". Now Borobo was contradicted "no that can't be, the girl said you were just a child. But you can't do that. Ok, now I understand you are a hunter too. So you are fighting with me to get her, but you can't get her because I love her, I won't give her to you….."

The captain couldn't hear it clearly as it seemed Borobo was mumbling it himself. On the other hand, Kisa didn't wait to hear his words, she just attacked head-on.

Kisa ran towards Borobo in high speed despite being an elemental. She jumped and came down with a dropkick. At the moment all the flare around her body extinguished, only her leg was burning.

"I should be using my hand to catch it, but it's not black, so it will be alright. It will be alright, right?" while kept on speaking nonsense, he just lightly grabbed her burning leg and tossed her to the side.

The captain was surprised. It's like the fire had no effect on Borobo, it's like an adult playing with a child. The irony was it's really happening in front of his eyes and his life depended on it.

Even with the toss, Kisa was unfazed. As she was about to hit the tree she landed on the tree with her four limbs and using it she catapulted herself towards Borobo again.

She was on the right, but just she was about to connect her punch she vanished in a flash and appeared on the other side and the punch connected. The punch sent Borobo flying. He slammed into the tree. But stood up like nothing happened.

"That punch had a lot of force. How you can be…" Even before he could finish his words Kisa appeared behind him, kicked his leg. He kneeled on the ground as his leg bend in a weird direction. The head of Boboro was just at the right height, Kisa punched both sides of his head at the same time with her flaming hand.

The head smashed like a watermelon, splattering the blood, brain juice in every direction.

"Ewwww." Kisa suddenly shouted, "It's gross."

The captain was thunderstruck. Kisa was too powerful. So powerful that even a hunter couldn't fight her. But one thing he wanted to ask from his heart.

"How can you have enhanced ability despite being an elemental?" The question the captain want to ask resounded in a weird voice. The captain couldn't believe his eye. He had seen this once and it's happening in front of his eyes again. The headless body started to wiggled and started to change its shape. It's trying to find its new form.

Kisa was one step behind, was caught even before she could speed up. Rather than a hand, it was a tentacle. The spot where the tentacle caught her started to flare up.

First, the fire was of yellow then it started to change the colour, it continued to change until it became completely black.

" I know you have 'Nether Fire'" the wiggling body talked. The voice sounded like multiple voices of men and women who were struggling. "But it had no effect on this body. No amount of heat can harm it." The laugh of the voice was total suffering. Even the captain forced to put his hand to his ear. Who knew how many people he had hunted to transform like this.

As Kisa understood her fire was not helping her, she quickly turned around and kicked the wiggling mass. Even it didn't help. Her leg got stuck in the mass. She was in an awkward position. She combusted the leg that was inside its body to get it free.

A little bit of wiggling mass splattered around as she did but kept on wiggling. The mass gave an ear piercing scream. It was so high that her brain began to hurt.

"You, you, dare to hurt me?" It's screamed and hold her up into the air and slammed her down on the ground, continued to do so for sometimes.

" Now tell me, is it hurt?" Its voice sounded like some of them were laughing some were crying. But the thunderous laughter stopped all of a sudden. As it looked behind it could see he was freezing up. The ice was growing on him.

It's Mayumi who was standing behind her, said with a serious voice "Don't you dare to bully my Kisa."
