I want to resume work

CHAPTER 156

Later the same day, Sue, Ginger and Racheal came to visit her in the house. They claimed that it was to see the baby but Eve knew that Sue must have opened her mouth to blab to Ginger and Racheal about what happened last night.

"Hey babe!" Sue voice rang out in the empty living room. Eve heard her voice and came out to greet her but she was surprised to see that she was not alone. She came with Racheal and Ginger.

"Hey guys!" Eve greeted them smiling and they hugged each other.

"How are you doing?" Racheal asked.

"I am fine and you?" Eve asked.

"I am good. Where is your baby? How is he doing?" Racheal asked.

"He is doing fine and he is in his room. He just fell asleep" Eve said.

"Oh, okay. We actually came to visit him but since he is asleep and we are already here let us chat about something else" Sue blurted out and went to sit down on on couch.

"Yes, we can not just come and go like that" Ginger said following Sue to sit down on the couch. Racheal and Eve left with no choice also sat down.

"So tell us how you went about the deed last night because maybe I think I should do the same to my husband" Ginger said eagerly.

"Really? You told them?" Eve looked at Sue sighing.

"Yes, of course I told them, are they not friends?" Sue said.

"Just tell us!" Racheal said impatient. Eve was surprised.

"Ok I will" Eve said.

Eve told them everything, from the candlelight dinner to how she seduced Charlie. The ladies could not help but grin, blush and giggle left and right.

"You are really a sheep in wolf's clothing!" Ginger and Racheal shouted together.

"Shhhh... Do not wake the baby up" Eve cautioned them. These friends of hers can be very loud when gossiping.

"Sorry" they all said together in a low voice.

"But I can't believe you could do that Eve!" Racheal said shocked.

"Me too! I thought you were this innocent and clueless woman" Ginger said.

"Yes, I was until Sue here...." Eve pointed towards Sue accusingly, "filled my head with different ideas" Eve said. Clearly she was pushing the blame to Sue.

"Hey! Hold it there woman! How can you be blaming me for what you did? You did it not me!" Sue retorted back.

"I did it, yes but who was the person who suggested that I do it?" Eve retorted back.

"I only suggested and I didn't force you!" Sue said. Racheal and Ginger watched the two ladies bickering for some while before Racheal decided to stop them.

"Okay! That is enough argument for the day. It doesn't matter who suggested to who or who listened to the other, the main thing here is that their was no harm and everyone is happy with the results, am I right Eve?" Racheal asked Eve.

"Yes" Eve said in a barely audible voice. She was starting to blush. This made everyone to burst out into laughter and Eve joins in the laughter. Suddenly Ginger spoke up;

"We shouldn't be loud not to disturb the baby" Ginger said.

"Oh, we forgot about that" Eve, Sue and Racheal said together.

"Yeah you did" Ginger said.

They reduced their voice and continued chatting and gisting about various things and they did not realize that the time has gone. Ginger was the one who spoke up and said that she needed to go.

"I have to prepare dinner before my husband comes home" Ginger said.

"Me too" Racheal said also.

"And I will go back to being lonely again.... Sighs" Sue said.

"Don't say that Sue, you can always come over anytime but for now, you need to go home and rest ahead of work tomorrow" Eve said.

"Speaking of work? When are you resuming back?" Sue asked.

"Soon... Don't worry, soon . I will discuss it with my husband" Eve said pushing Sue out of the mansion.

"Be fast because everyone at the company miss you" Sue said.

"Yes I know, you told me before, now go" Eve said.

"Okay, bye!" Sue waved at Eve.

"Bye!" Eve said and waved back.

As Sue was leaving, Charlie's car drove into the mansion. Charlie got down from the car and saw Sue as she was coming out of the mansion.

"Hello Charles" Sue greeted.

"Hello" Charlie said and nodded his head.

"I will be leaving, bye Eve" Sue said once more.

"Bye" Eve said and Sue left. Eve turned to look at Charlie looking at her with a look of curiosity.

"The girls just came to visit me and the baby" Eve said and Charlie replied with an "oh".

"Let's go inside" Eve said.

"Okay" Eve helped Charlie with his bag and they went inside the mansion hand in hand.

After they were done with dinner, Charlie and Eve were relaxing on the balcony in their room. Eve turned to Charlie and said;

"I want to talk to you about something" 

"What is it?" Charlie asked.

"Charlie, I want to resume work at the company, is that okay with you?" Eve asked.

Charlie looked at Eve for a while before saying "okay if you want, you can resume work next week, if that is okay by you" Charlie said.

"It is okay. I missed working" Eve said but she remembered something, "but who will take care of the baby while we are at work?" Eve asked.

"We would have to hire a nanny for him" Charlie said.

Eve remembered her adopted mother, Mrs long and asked Charlie if they could have her take care of their baby.

"Instead of hiring a nanny, why not we invite my mom over to take care of him?" Eve suggested.

"Okay, if you are okay with that, I will have someone bring her over" Charlie said.

"Thank you Hun!" Eve said and kissed Charlie on the lips.
