CHAPTER 73: HONEYMOON (2)

"Well I thought you did that to avoid getting engaged to Natasha" John said.

"No and why would I get engaged to someone i don't even love? Eve if I was single I wouldn't even agree to the engagement between me and Natasha so help me tell Natasha and her family that I am already taken and if the try anything towards Eve they won't like what I will do to them" Charlie said.

"Ok I have heard you" John said and walks past Charlie towards Eve and takes her by her hand.

"Come sit down with me dear" John said smiling. Charlie who was ignored calls one of the maid and orders her to bring tea for them.

As he gave the order he goes upstairs to his bedroom to change into comfortable clothes and he came back few minutes later and sees Eve and his his father talking but the look on Eve's face seems like she is trying to conceal she not comfortable.

"Dad let Eve go freshen up and she will come back later" Charlie said walking towards them.

"Okay, hurry up I have something to talk to you both" John said.

"Okay...d..dad" Eve said.

"Hmm" John said guesturing her to go and back quick.

Charlie is surprised Eve called his dad, dad, "why did she call you dad?" Charlie asked.

"Why wouldn't she call me dad! She is married to you so it's right she calls me dad" John said.

"Isn't she supposed to call you father - in - law?" Charlie asked again.

"I wanted her to call me that, is anything wrong with that!" John shouted protestingly.

"Okay" Charlie said raising his two hands in surrender.

Few minutes later Eve comes back from the room and sat beside Charlie on the sofa in the living room.

"Dad now Eve is here what is it you wanted to talk to us about" Charlie said. By now they sipping their tea.

"Are you both not thinking of going on honeymoon?" John asked.

"I was about discussing that with my wife but was interrupted by you" Charlie said looking at his father with a look that says "you disrupted my alone time with my wife".

"Oh, that's wonderful because I have already booked the presidential suite at our company's resort in Hawaii and you both are to leave tomorrow afternoon" John said.

Eve and Charlie thought about it and Charlie turns to Eve, "what do you think?" Charlie asked.

"Am okay with that" Eve said, "at least she would take some break away from her problems for the time being" Eve thought.

"Okay, how long did you book the resort for the honeymoon for?" Charlie said.

"Two weeks" John said as he held up two fingers.

"How about work at the company?" Charlie asked.

"Don't worry about that I have taken care of that" John said assuringly.

"Okay" Charlie said.

"And... I will be expecting good news when you both get back" John said giggling slyly.
