CHAPTER 72: HONEYMOON (1)

Ok I forgive you all" Eve said putting up a fake smile.

"Thank you" George said in a relaxed manner.

"Thank you sister Eve" Adriana said smiling.

"Okay, now that is settled I have to go now because I have a dinner date with my husband" Eve said as she picks up her bag and leaves the room.

Adriana was angry anytime Eve call Charles her husband and she vows to revenge and take Charles from her, "he is mine and mine only!" She thought.

Author: Adriana! Adriana!! You want to separate two sweethearts that are already married 🤦 heh.. let's wait and see!..

As soon as Eve left the room she called Charlie and both of them leaves the restaurant together and head home.

When they got home, they saw a car parked in front of the house and Charlie knew who ones the car. It was his father!

"What would his father be doing in his house, he rarely visits him" Charlie thought.

Eve noticed the car and wondered if Charlie got a new car for himself, "I will ask him later" Eve thought as they both went inside the house with Eve following behind him.

Eve got into the living room and saw an elderly man, who appears to be handsome despite his wrinkles which shows he isn't a young man but he seem to be familiar to her but she can't remember from where she has seen him.

"You unfilial son! You got married and didn't tell me your father about it" John Charlie's father shouted.

"Dad calm down I was going to tell you later" Charlie said calmly.

"What do you mean by later!" John shouted.

Eve was surprised when she remembered that the man is the man she helped and also Charlie's father she gulped down invisible spit and stands at one corner.

"Will he disapprove of her marrying Charlie?" Eve thought.

"Where is she?" John asked.

"Who?" Charlie acted as if he does not know who his father is talking about.

"Your wife of course!" John shouted.

"Here she is and besides she is someone you know" Charlie said.

"Someone i know??" Many  invisible question marks appeared on John's face as he looks around the living room.

Eve who was hiding at the back of Charlie came out and stood beside him with her head facing the floor.

"Raise your head" Charlie said with a gentle voice that was melodious to the ears. Eve raises her head and John is surprised to see Eve.

"You..." John said pointing at Eve, "you are the one my son married?" John asked.

"Yes" Eve said shyly.

"Why are you surprised? I told you last time at the party of Natasha that she is my fiancée so it's right she is the one I marry" Charlie said.

"I thought you were joking!" John said exclamating.

"Why will you think that?" Charlie asked.

"Well, I thought you did that to avoid getting engaged to Natasha" John said.
