A Fight Between Father and Son [C17]

The next morning.

Before going out of his room, Shu Himo decided to check his status. "Status!"

"Weren't you at Muscle Strengthening phase yesterday, how are you at Blood Strengthening phase now?" I heard that you fought cross-battles against three cultivators and it's fine, but now that you directly jump from Muscle Strengthening phase to Blood Strengthening phase, are you sure you weren't at Blood Strengthening phase from the start and just felt like have fun of us?

Everyone froze and started to look again at Himo each with different expressions, his mother and his father were worried, his brother had a weird glim in his eyes looking toward Shu Himo, but the one with the biggest reaction was his little sister who got shocked by his phrase and immediately jumped toward him.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

Anyone would expect such a phrase from the parents, but the one that said it was Aria, his little sister. Startled for a moment, Shu Himo did not manage to react in time and saw his little sister hugging him and watching him while crying and asking "Don't go... if you go you will die... please..."

Feeling happy and warm that his sister cared for him this much he then said: "Don't worry, there is no one that will be able to even touch me." His absolute confidence stunned everyone in the room, but it was still not enough to convince Aria who said: "Then let's do a pact; If you manage to beat father with his cultivation suppressed at Acupoint Opening phase and then you bring me to see your fights I will trust you to go." Everyone thought that it was just an impossible bet because not only Shu Mo is able to fight at a couple strings higher by using his ability, but he was also at the 7th string of Dantian Core Foundation and even suppressed would still have better body reaction time and more experience, not counting the natural suppression someone would feel when fighting someone of a higher realm, even if they suppress their realm.

With these impossible conditions, everyone thought that Shu Himo would just refuse but their expectations got betrayed once again as they heard "Sure, I wanted to fight a bit with Father anyway." The same question went in the mind of every family member, even into the one of Aria who just made the conditions, in fact, she made it only to stop Himo from going at all, she did not expect that he would accept!

Outside in a camp area used usually for the training of the family members.

"Ok, I suppressed my cultivation to Acupoint Opening phase, Himo, if you want to stop say it at any moment." Expecting that the difference in realms would be already pressuring Shu Himo, as a doting father he could not help but remind him.

"Sure, but don't hold back please, father, do your best to stop me from beating you." Shu Himo was smiling, contrary to Shu Mo expectations he did not even seem to have noticed the pressure from a different realm!

Noticing that Shu Himo was serious and unfazed, Shu Mo then decided to do his best, and immediately went to attack; They were both using wooden swords, so Shu Mo immediately dashed toward Shu Himo, almost vanishing from the view of the rest of the family (Apart from Shu Ashey who is also at the 7th string) and sending a slash toward his neck, convinced that he had already won, he was about to stop his sword from hitting Shu Himo's neck when he suddenly noticed that Shu Himo was not there anymore, and feeling cold sweat behind his back he immediately knew: Shu Himo was behind him! How could he pass through his perception of 7th string? The answer was simple, he was underestimating him.

Realizing his mistake he immediately turned around and slashed toward the attack from Shu Himo, hitting completely his sword! But weirdly the sword felt to Shu Mo as slippery as a slime and instantly bent from his attack hitting in the ground at 4 meters of distance, he immediately noticed that Shu Himo actually discarded his sword in a way to not make it fly too far: he was preparing to give a punch!

Shu Himo then looked toward Shu Mo with extremely cold eyes, using [Intimidation lv_1] to make him stop for a moment to give a punch, but instead of his expectation, Shu Mo did not even budge! It was the first time that someone managed to resist his [Intimidation], most likely due to the difference in realms, Shu Mo then managed to parry his punch, so Shu Himo immediately jumped backward, only to see that Shu Mo was trying to grab him and slash toward him with his sword!

Knowing he did not have other choices, he immediately used something he was not yet used, the [Hopper] skill in the ground reversed, to jump backward instead of making a dash, the working principle was the same, but not being able to see behind it always give a sense of thrill that Shu Himo can't get used to. Managing to escape from Shu Mo, Shu Himo immediately grabbed the sword, and using [Hopper] he dashed again toward Shu Mo, only to stop and change direction at the last moment, Shu Mo was sure that there was going to be a direct attack so he had to reposition again to intercept a possible attack but how could Shu Himo give him the time to do that? He immediately used grounded [Hopper] two times to get behind Shu Mo, then used a third [Hopper] to jump slightly higher than the head of Shu Mo, he then made a rotation mid-air to create centrifugal force and sent a kick toward Shu Mo! Everything happened in less than 0.5 seconds not giving any time to react!

Shu Mo who was caught off-guard by Shu Himo's speed only managed to parry his kick with his arm, but he felt an incredible heaviness from the kick, unlike what any Blood Strengthening phases would normally be able to make, startled, he immediately retreated backward but he then noticed that in his shoulder there is a wooden sword pointing his neck.

Looking toward Shu Himo who was smiling toward himself he finally noticed that he lost!

Every member of his family was utterly shocked!

Smiling then Shu Mo said: "It seems like you won the bet, feel free to go to the arena, but if you are put in a bad spot give up immediately!" Even if he knows that it's hardly possible that he would be put in a bad spot already based with the fight he had against his son, as a doting father it's impossible not remind him.

"Sure, Aria, let's go, you wanted to come with me, didn't you?" Smiling toward his little sister that completely blanked out, he started walking toward outside the mansion.

"Ah! Sure I'm coming!" Running immediately after his brother, Aria was extremely excited "Big Brother Himo! You are incredible!" Immediately changing her brother's status in strength she was not worried anymore about anything in the Arena.

While the siblings were starting to go toward the arena, they were being stalked by their father and mother, who wanted to see how Shu Himo would fare in the arena.
