The Contact
Liu Feng followed the system's instructions and contacted one of the survivors of the Project Phoenix team. He used the information and tools that the system had provided him, such as the phone number, the email address, and the encryption code of the survivor. He pretended to be a friend and a colleague of the survivor. He hoped that the survivor would trust him and help him.
He heard the survivor's voice answer the phone. He said:
- "Hello, who is this?"
Liu Feng recognized the voice and the name. It was Zhao Yu, the sensor engineer of the Project Phoenix team. He was one of the best and brightest engineers in the field. He had designed and built the sensors that monitored and controlled the plasma inside the reactor. He had also helped Liu Feng's father with the software development and debugging. He was a friendly and helpful person.
Liu Feng said:
- "Hello, Zhao Yu. It's me, Li Wei. Do you remember me?"
Zhao Yu said:
- "Li Wei? Li Wei... Oh, yes, Li Wei. You were the software engineer of the Project Phoenix team. You worked with Liu Feng, right?"
Liu Feng said:
- "Yes, that's right. I worked with Liu Feng. He was my friend and mentor. He taught me a lot of things. He was a great software engineer and a great person. I miss him a lot."
Zhao Yu said:
