6. Lost control

"Nice try Malfoy. But I'm hard to sneak up on" I said as I watched the fire in the common room. "You were being controlled?" He asked as he sat down.

"Sort of yeah"

"Sort of?"

"Only when I pinned you to the wall. My words were real"

"What did you say? I can't remember"

"It's better if you don't"

I closed my eyes to stop the temptation and muttered to myself.

"I can't eat animal blood any more. I'm sick if I try"

"So how have you been eating?"

"George"

"I said how not wh- wait what? But he's still alive"

"I know. He trapped me when I looked too skinny and told me that it was ok. I only just manage to stop"

"And that's the reason you had blood on your face in class?"

"Yeah. It was from the day before though"

"That's disgusting"

"I know. I've been meeting with Hagrid so he can help me. One of the things he said was to run away from the smell"

"It's that hard?"

"Draco we were designed to kill and drink blood from people until they're bone dry. Yes it's that hard" 

"Does the sun not kill you?"

"It's supposed to"

"Then why doesn't it?"

"My necklace. It's cursed or something so that the sun can't hurt me. Hang on come here" I said as I stood up.

I walked over to the window where a large beam of sun was and stood beside it. I took off my necklace and held my hand out, it getting burnt immediately. I pulled my hand back with a frown as the burns went away and put my necklace back on.

"Ok well, I'm going to bed" he frowned. When he turned around his scent got wafted my way. It was just a matter of time.

The whites of my eyes went black making the blue stand out even more as I stood in the common room.

I made my way over to the boys rooms and over to the side of Draco's bed where he laid asleep.

"Kara?" He whispered after jumping out of his skin. "What are you doin-"

I grabbed his collar and went to the woods, him now laying on the floor as I grew hungrier.

"Kara?"

I felt my lip curl into a grin before I bit my lip. He sat frowning at me as I stared him down.

I walked up to him and grabbed his arm, unwrapping the bandage around it and looking at the light scratches on his arm.

I glanced at him with a straight face. "You know Draco, what the Hippogriff did is really nothing. What I do is much worse" I growled before digging my teeth into his arm, blood filling my mouth soon after.

He ripped his arm away when I took a breath and tried to run, me ending up in front of him every time. "You can't escape me, Draco. You'll just make me hungrier"

"What are you doing?"

"You see Draco, everybody has a smell and all of them are hard to ignore, I just manage with them. But as soon as I smelt your blood it enticed me. You're smell got stronger, it stands out above all of the others" I said as he walked back and I kept going toward him.

He backed into a tree, me still walking up to him and blood dripping down from his arm, just making me need the blood more. "Like I said, I can ignore everyone else just enough to stop me from hurting them. But you, I need your blood, I want your blood" I said as I put my hand on his white shirt collar.

He just frowned in fear at me as I pulled the collar to the side, revealing his shoulder.

"So what? Your just going to kill me?"

"No" I said, putting the collar back and putting my arms around him instead, seemingly calming him down.

I felt him shaking slightly as he wrapped his arms cautiously around me. I closed my eyes to try to stop the sensation like I always do but It was honestly too strong.

"So you aren't going to kill me then?" He frowned when I came away from him. "No-" I began before moving his collar again, making him tense up like he did only minutes ago and grabbing his hair before tilting his head.

I put my head by his shoulder and got my fangs ready. "If I wanted to kill you I'd go for the neck" I growled before digging my fangs into his shoulder.

"AH! Stop!" He shouted as he moved his hands to push me away, me swallowing every bit of blood that reached my mouth.

The taste made me bite down harder on his shoulder, more blood coming out. He winced and gasped in pain as I drained the life out of him.

He fell to the ground and his body relaxed as I tried to stop, squeezing my eyes together.

It may sound disgusting but his blood was better, his blood was stronger and sweeter. I just didn't understand why.

I finally managed to stop biting and slowly took my head away, looking at the bite mark that was deeper than both the ones I'd left the twins with.

Draco laid almost lifeless on the ground, hitched breath and unconscious. I got my wand and fixed the bite, the colour of his skin restoring back to normal, the same with his breath.

I knelt down by his ear and whispered "this is a dream" before taking him back to his bed and laying him down.

I wiped the blood from my chin as I backed out of the room, closing the door behind me.
