The Bone Hero, Jokara

The world of villains and heroes. Something right out of comic books. But for these people, it's a reality. And it's nowhere near as fun as the comics make it seem. Tag along with Jokara, an enigma even in his own world, as he tries to discover some kind of meaning and drive for himself. Disclaimer: Jokara will become a hero. But at the same time, his actions will often be very questionable for a hero, as well as a villain. (This is my first story. In my opinion, it's really not that good, and I want to get much better. Please keep that in mind as you read it. I would seriously appreciate constructive criticism, but please don't be a dick about it.)

Chapter 22: Internship With Two Heroes, Part 4

(Daily Music: Boney M. - Rasputin (Lyrics) )

I awoke in my bed. Strange, I remember falling asleep in the training room. Maybe someone carried me here.

Today would be the third day of the our week on internships. I also felt the results of yesterday's exercise had taken effect, I felt strong enough to effortlessly pick up an off-road vehicle and throw it a good distance away.

I also felt pretty confident that I could break the sound barrier in my dashes now without any kind of boosts from my Vera or any kind of other support. Probably halfway to Mach 2.

(Y'all probably know by now that his speed is going to be absolutely retarded levels of op for the world he's in. Thanks to his speed, he's almost unbeatable, and it's only going to get more retarded from here on out. And I'm not even factoring in the boosts he will get from his Vera stances, because, as of right now, his Lightning stance gives him a 30 times multiplier to his speed. That number's only going to get bigger)

Today, we did the exercises again. But everything was heavier. The weights on my body were three times heavier than the day before, and the weights and machines I had to work with were five times heavier. Also, we went from 20 sets of everything to 30 sets of everything.

After we did the daily exercise, Miruko asked me what I wanted to learn today.

Me: Do you have someone here with incredible skill with culinary arts?

She nodded, and took me to what was most likely the dining area. There, she introduced me to the cook.

Tadano: Oh, hello Miruko! What brings you here?

Miruko: My intern over here asked for you.

Me: Hello ma'am. I wanted to try and learn culinary arts.

Tadano: Why? Wouldn't you find it more valuable to learn combat or stuff like that?

Me: Because of something about Lunch Rush I read about online. A few years back, there were lots of refugees who had no currency and nowhere to go, and Lunch Rush made great meals for everyone, feeding them and providing them comfort in his food while they got back on their feet. Because of this, he's one of the few Heroes that I actually look up to, so I want to be able to provide comfort for people I save that have nowhere to go.

She smiled at me, and ruffled my hair. It felt really nice, but I don't know why so many people have been doing it at this agency.

Tadano: You're a good kid. I'll teach you all that I can for today. Get an apron from the back.

(In Present Mic voice) Tadano Yuta! Quirk: Culinary Master! Her Quirk gives her unparalleled knowledge on all things culinary, such as food recipes, how to make said food perfectly, and how to improve it beyond all known things!

And so, I learnt countless recipes. To name a few: Rice, Ramen, Pork, Steak, Lamb, Chicken, Onigiri, Sushi, Udon, Soba, Sashimi, Yakitori, etc. I learnt what was probably hundreds of recipes, and could learn to make them perfectly in around two or three tries,

(Aight, lemme lay down a dish that I fucking love. So, get yourself some Pork Rib Eye, then get yourself some White Rice. Cook both of those delicious bois up, and have them alongside each other. The juices from Pork Rib Eye give an amazing aftertaste to the Rice, and Rice compliments pretty much any meal, especially juicy meats the like Pork Rib Eye. Also, get yourself a nice drink to wash everything down as you eat.)

(I'm not a chef, but I can make some mean Spaghetti. It's basically my specialty)

I actually had lots of fun learning so many recipes. My favourite part was, of course, getting to taste them all. I also did my best to master the art of toppings, as they can seriously enhance an already great dish and make it perfect.

By the time it was lunch time for everyone at the agency, I had learnt thousands of dishes.

(Reason they're so fast is because they're both really quick)

Tadano asked me if I wanted to make lunch for everyone, and I happily volunteered. I took orders from everyone in the room, and got to work on the dishes. I was really happy when everyone really liked my food. It gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment.

After lunch, I kept learning lots of dishes, until it got to midnight. By that point, I had learnt over 1500 dishes.

Me: Thank you so much, Tadano! I had a lot of fun doing this! Now I can provide relief for refugees in the form of food!

I rushed over to her and gave her a hug. Well, accounting for my small size, I only hugged her legs, but still.

Tadano: Heh, no sweat, darling. You did great! I'm willing to bet that anyone who you feed will love your food! Here's my contact info if you ever want to talk, or get more lessons!

She gave me a slip with her number. Looks like I would need to buy a phone soon.

I hugged her once more, and went to go to bed. I was quite tired from today, doing nothing but cooking, as well as the exhaustion from the upped exercise.

(Pretty short chapter today. I just want to get this arc over with as quick as possible)
