Making plans

Being forced to actively look for a mate, don't I have enough to do? My father sent the letters 3 months ago and we're still waiting on replies, so we can plan ahead. My father said that he was only willing to send invitations to the 3 big packs that surround us, because their leadership has proved to unwavering and their Alphas are fair. My dad let know know the pack names at least. Blackwater Cresent Pack, Silver Fang Cresent Pack and Shadow Cresent Pack. The pack names are cool but as a 18 year old virgin, what do I know about love and well...You know. I wish my mom was here so we could talk about it. I watch out my bedroom Bay window, as the Ravens come and drop off the mail at our front door. My dad hears the Caws of our feathered friends and I can hear him rushing to the front door. My dad picks up the mail, he stops and notices I'm looking, he waves the mail at me, and hand motions me to come see. I roll my eyes. It's a good thing I'm this far away, I doubt he can see my attitude. I decide to stop giving him a hard time and I make my way towards the kitchen. "Oh hey Dahlia" I run into Harper in the hallway. "Hey, how's it going?" Dahlia asks. "By the looks of it, better than you. What's on your mind?" Harper asks. "Just thinking about mom again" Dahlia says. "I'm so sorry" Harper says. "By the way, where are my guards?" Dahlia asks because her guards are no where to be found. They're not answering my mindlinks either. "Your father gave them the day off" Harper says. "Oh, cool, I'm sure they need it" Dahlia said. "It's just so strange to not to have them...well you know be up my behind" Dahlia says chuckling. Harper laughs with me and we both head towards the kitchen. We walk into the kitchen and My dad's waiting for me. "Hey baby, oh I saw that eye roll by the way" my dad says laughing. "Sorry, dad" Dahlia says embarrassed. Harper just laughs at me. "Our official reply has arrived" my dad said. "Oh I thought it was important" Dahlia said sarcastically. "It's very important, that they even considered the invitation. With the whole dark cloud casted over Ravenwood Pack, Your mother and I, were always worried, you wouldn't find your mate because of it" My dad said sadly. "I know, you guys have worried about me. Everything, will happen the way it's supposed to, there's no reason to stress, all we can do is plan" Dahlia said with a smile. "When did you, become so grown up?" My dad asked. "Do you really want me to answer that" Dahlia said with a raised eyebrow. "Nope, nope, rhetorical" my dad said laughing. We all started to laugh. "It's now or never, let's see what they have to say" my dad said nervously.

"Dear Ravenwood Counselor,

We would love to attend, your gathering for your royal Lunas 20th birthday. I do say it comes as a suprise, as no news surfaced of a Ravenwood heir, up until recently. We look forward to meeting this mysterious young lady, and we will see you in 16 months time.

Best regards,

Lord Siver Fang".

"That was a nice letter" Dahlia stated. "Yeah, the Silver Fang Pack, has always been very respectable" My father says. "Who's the next letter from?" Dahlia asks. "It doesn't have an address, but judging by the crest wax seal I would say; Shadow Cresent Pack" my father says as he opens it and reads this one out loud as well.

"Counselor Ethan,

We will attend the event in 16 months time. Why was the fact, a Ravenwood heir was kept a secret? I look forward to your response.

Lord Shadow".

"Doesn't he sound, well like a jerk" Dahlia says. "You would be right. Shadow Cresent wolves are very ruthless and have a terrible sense of entitlement. They always call for aid and can never complete things. I really hope your mate, doesn't belong to that pack" my dad said. "Oh, relax dad, no stress remember?" Dahlia says. "It's safe to assume, the next is from the Blackwater Cresent Pack" my dad says tearing the envelope opened. Dahlia looks nervous, she has a feeling about this letter.

"Advisor,

We accept the invite, however, we would like to formally meet this, so called royal Ravenwood heir, before the gathering. Knowing you, you also invited Silver Fang and Shadow Cresent Pack to attend. It's safe to assume this isn't a hoax. However, from past experiences, we need to find the Lunas character suitable for mating. I hope you find this request fair and reasonable. My condolences on hearing of Emma's passing. She was far better than you deserved, Toad. Let's arrange a meet soon.

Best regards, your old friend,

Lord Blackwater".

My dad had tears coming from his eyes. "Are, you okay dad? Dahlia asks. "Oh, yes sorry about that. I'm just so happy. Lord Blackwater accepted" my dad said. "Toad...your old friend...What did I miss?" Dahlia said. "I come from Blackwater Cresent Pack. Lord Blackwater, was my best friend when we were growing up. I was his father's Betas; son. You didn't think I came from Ravenwood did you?" my dad asks. "Well, to be honest I never really thought about it, or thought to ask" Dahlia said. "The last few Ravenwood mates, have been from Blackwater. I hope yours dwells at Blackwater, but with mates, it's all fated by the moon goddess" my dad said. "Was my birth father from, Blackwater?" Dahlia asked. "No, sweety, I'm not sure where your father came from. I thought your mom once mentioned traveling Rouge" my dad said. "We can be mated to rouges?!" Dahlia asked. "Well, yes" my dad said. "I hope that's not my future" Dahlia says. "Well let's arrange the meet first and go from there" My father said. "Okay, sounds like a plan, write him back right away" Dahlia said. "Oh and dad, next time you give my guards a day off, let me know at least" Dahlia said smiling. "Oh, I completely forgot!" My dad said. My dad took off towards his study.
