Torture (I)...

Daichi wasn't amused by Yuriko's question in the slightest… He wasn't angry or anything, he was simply annoyed. To be honest, he did not expect Yuriko to remember the fact that Chiba was here, especially with everything going on and he hated the fact that he forgot Chiba when he was telling Yuriko why the Black Label attacked them…

So, once again, Daichi needed to think a bit before answering the question. "She was probably in the backyard, she came out running as soon as the fight started. It was a bad move on her part, but it is a good thing that she didn't try anything stupid…" Daichi said while shaking his head. Meanwhile, Saeko was simply staring at Daichi with an unreadable look.

Saeko simply couldn't believe how easily Daichi was making up stories… Well, he didn't lie much in the first part, he simply twisted the story to portray themselves as the good guys. Not that she cared and she was even more impressed when he started to answer why Chiba was with them, especially when Yuriko seemed to be believing whatever Daichi was saying.

"Ah… I see" Yuriko nodded her head in understanding as she bit her thumb. The Yuriko glanced toward Bella. She clearly remembered Daichi carrying her in his arms and she kind of looked pale and… dead. 'She looks kind of alive and perfectly fine to me… Oh, well…' Yuriko decided not to ask any more questions even though she was curious…

If Yuriko was being honest, she was extremely afraid of Bella, but she knew how to hide or suppress her emotions. Yuriko believed staying alive was much more important than knowing all the answers… Yuriko also knew that Daichi was probably hiding something, even though there were no disparities in Daichi's answer, she could that there was something amiss. Yuriko would have loved to investigate the matter more deeply and reach the bottom of the matter, but she had a feeling that she wasn't going to like what she was going to find.

"Oh…" Kohta nodded his head in understanding. He also knew that something was off with the whole thing, but once again he did not care. He was going to support Daichi no matter whatever reason they had for attacking. "So, what are we going to do to them?" Kohta asked as he glanced toward the two people lying down the street and then he glanced toward Kemono, who just arrived in front of them with the other two…

"So, did you enjoy yourself?" Daichi asked his mom, who smiled in jot and dropped the two people she had been dragging.

"Oh, yes… It was a lot of fun. I would have been happy if there was a bit more action, but this is alright too, I suppose" Kemono shrugged dismissively.

"Good" Daichi nodded his head in satisfaction. Then he glanced toward the two people his mom dragged here. "You were quite merciless… I like that" Daichi said as he nodded his head with a grin. Kemono beamed at the praise, but before she could say anything, Daichi continued to speak. "Bella, can you get Kyoko?" Daichi requested and Bella immediately walked away after giving him a nod.

"Their survival is going to depend on the Skills they have" Daichi said with a snort. Yuriko grimaced at the underlying meaning behind his words, but if she was in his shoes then she would have made the same decision too. After all, these people have tried to kill Kemono even before the apocalypse, and now that there were no police, so they needed to take matters into their own hands.

"Hohoho…" Kemono chuckled in amusement. "So, how are you planning to control them?" Kemono asked curiously. After all, it wouldn't do them any good if these guys betrayed them on a later date… Killing them right now would be much better in that case…

"I am going to control them in the same way I am controlling Sato-san" Daichi said with a blank look on his face. He haven't told anyone how he was controlling Sato Ichika, so he finally started to explain. Daichi knew that Yuriko was different and she would react differently, but he still decided to tell her, but he was tired of hiding some of the facts. If Tsukomo and Aoba were still alive then Daichi wouldn't have revealed the truth and now that the two of them were gone, he was free to act however he wanted…

Sara Yui and Kou Emiko were still here, but the two of them did not have any power in their group and now that Aoba and Tsukomo were gone, nobody was going to listen to them. Yuriko might be a good-hearted woman, but her priority was her daughter's safety and as long as her daughter was safe, Yuriko wasn't going to do anything. Just as Daichi suspected, Yuriko wasn't happy, but she decided not to make any comments.

After a few seconds, Bella finally returned with Kyoko in tow. Some of the fighters also decided to follow the two of them. "Tawata-san, Kabato-san, can you bring them to me?" Daichi requested while looking at Kanae and Ran pointed while he pointed toward the two people lying a few meters away from them. The two of them nodded their heads in understanding.

The two of them passed by Daichi's group, and that is when Daichi remembered something. "Wait! Let me come along!" Daichi called out as he caught up to the two of them. Daichi realized that there was a chance that the two of them were playing dead. He did not want to lose either Kanae or Ran, both of them were quite important to the group.

"Tawata-san, do you mind if I use your first name? I mean there are four of you with the same last name" Daichi requested with a smile as the three of them continued to walk…

"Sure, we were thinking the same thing, if you don't mind. I mean with you and your mother having the same last time" Kanae explained and Daichi simply smiled.

"Sure, I would love that" Daichi smiled, and in return, both Kanae and Ran smiled. All in all, it was a good bonding conversation…
