It was only after Blake left the apartment wearing only jeans and sneakers that he realized he'd completely forgotten to remove any traces of the novel that was lying open on his lap before changing into pajamas. He'd also forgotten to put on any deodorant, shave his face, or brush his teeth...so he hurriedly ran back upstairs while brushing his hair and putting on a clean shirt before heading downstairs to wait for his wife in their living room. She'd told him where she was going for the day with her friends and when he arrived in the middle of their conversation, the four other ladies turned toward him and gave him disapproving stares as they made comments under their breaths about his poor hygiene habits while Madison glared at him sternly from across the coffee table.
