"Of course it does," Jamal agreed hastily while standing up and moving towards the bathroom, "But it's only fair if I apologize for my mistakes too. And if I don't make up for my actions then I can't be held accountable for them anymore...right?"

Maya raised a skeptical eyebrow as he walked away from her towards the bathroom, then she gave him a long stare before answering, "Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night...but I'm telling you right now that I'm not interested in forgiving your sins."
