Yvonne couldn't believe it. Why did she have her sister's necklace? What is going on? Who is this strange person?
Javier looked at her puzzled expression, his brow furrowing. "Why are you looking like this?"
Yvonne quickly faced her phone down.
"Nothing,"
"Let me see your phone," he asked as he stretched his hands.
She looked at his face, then at his hands. She couldn't help but start laughing.
"When have you started to check my phone?"
"Give it to me,"
"I am not giving it to you."
Yvonne holds her phone tightly in her hands as she hisses at him. It baffled her how he has started to control what she does. It was like ever since she asked him for a divorce, he has changed.
"Are we going to argue here?" he said softly, trying not to raise her voice.
"You are the one that wants to argue, not me."
She did not care and stared through the window.
They were almost at the hospital, when all of a sudden, the car halted to a stop. Both of them moved abruptly forward in their seats.
Yvonne's fingers clutched the edges of her seat, and she shot a glance at Javier.
"What is going on?" Javier asked Dennis.
"We hit a car in the front," Dennis said as he removed his seat belts.
"Just pay them and get it over with."
"Okay."
Dennis got out of the car, while Yvonne was wondering if this was the plan that the strange person said.
Yvonne doesn't know what to say to leave the car and not make him suspicious.
"What is your relationship with Nadia?"
Javier looked at Yvonne and never expected that question from her. She never cared about his personal relationship, but right now she is caring. He doesn't know what to think of it.
"A business relationship," he said bluntly.
Business? Based on what Yvonne knows, she knows that Nadia is not someone to do business with, and she was an actress. Is Javier lying to her?
"Really? What kind of business do you have with her?"
Yvonne wanted to go deep in the business because she was sure he wouldn't say anything, but this is the way to be able to leave here without him.
"Why do you want to know what business I have with her?" he asked as he brought out his phone.
"She committed suicide and tarnished my name for something I didn't know." She faced him while her back was on the window and her leg was on the chair. "Don't you think I should know what relationship you have with her?"
"I said I would handle it," he said, staring at her, and went back to his phone.
"Handle what?" she said. "Javier, we have been married for three years, and for the first time, I feel like I don't know you. What do you do?"
"Do you have the mind to know what I do?"
As they were going back and forth, she received a text message from the number, "Walk to the hospital."
Yvonne put her phone face down, and her heart was beating. Why does she seem to listen to that person? She has never met the stranger before.
She couldn't decide whether to go or not. She doesn't want to get in trouble with him, and she knows that telling him about the pregnancy will make him not sign the divorce paper the more, and she does not want it.
Yvonne touched her head.
"I am feeling a terrible headache."
"Why do you have a headache now? Weren't you alright?" He asked as he put his hand on her forehead.
"Are you my body? Do you know anything about me?" She removed his hand aggressively.
"Just wait a little bit, let him sort it out, and then we will go to the hospital."
Yvonne puts her phone in her small bag and puts the bag strap on her shoulder. "I can't wait for you; I will wait for you at the hospital."
"Why will you wait for me there?"
"This car is making me feel stuffy and making me get the headache more. Just staying with you pissed me off."
Javier chuckled. "I will go with you."
"Why will you go with me?"
"Why can't I? Are you doing something wrong?" he questioned, as she almost opened the door.
Yvonne's heart was racing, hoping that he wouldn't find out.
"If you are afraid I am doing something wrong, then let me go. Sign the divorce paper, and then you won't have to worry about that."
She opened the door and stepped out.
Dennis saw it and told the guy to excuse him. He opened the door and pushed his head inside. "Where is she going?"
"To the hospital,"
Dennis got shocked.
"Why will you let her walk there? It is 20 minutes of walking."
"She wants to do it, and I think it is best for her to go alone so that she can clear her head. She has been stuck at home."
Dennis shook his head and closed the car door, then attended to the person.
Twenty minutes later, she arrived at the hospital. She was breathing so heavily.
When she got to the hospital, she called the stranger's number, but the person did not pick it up.
As she was going to obg-yn, her phone rang, and she thought it was the stranger number, but it was an unknown number, so she picked it up.
"Yvonne, how are you doing?"
Yvonne's heart dropped as she recognized that voice anywhere.
