Chapter 146

Ezra handed Yvonne the document. Yvonne took them with a brief nod and left the place. She took a taxi to the cafe. Her thoughts were filled with anxiety and anticipation. 

Standing outside the cafe, she glanced around, half-expecting to see Javier already there. But he wasn't. 

Minutes passed, and Yvonne felt her impatience growing. She couldn't believe Javier was making her wait. She held the documents tight in her hands and was shifting one foot to the other. Her thoughts go to the person who has been texting her. 

If the person knows she's with Javier, that means the person is always following her. She looked to her left and then to her right to see if she'd see any suspicious person around there. But there seems to not be any suspicious person around. 

It had been thirty minutes, and Javier hadn't arrived. She breathed down and was going to leave when she decided to just text him. Just as she was about to text him, Javier arrived.
