Flying Thunder God- Third Stage

After the normal conversation with Genma, they started taking on some tasks together. Because Menma hadn't even taken that many D-Rank missions, he was forced to do so.

For the next ten days, he took nearly twenty D-Rank missions with his Team Thirteen. After that, he also took a few C-Rank Missions with his team. But soon, they stopped.

Because it was the time for Chunin Exam.

"So, have you all decided to participate this time?" Genma looked at his four students and asked with a serious expression.

For these two years, Konoha Twelve plus Jeme, Okinawa, and Murasaki didn't participate in any of the Chunin Exams. But now that Menma was back, everyone wanted to participate.

"Yes!" All four of them replied at the same time with serious expressions.

"Alright then! Fill up this form." Genma passed them the Chunin Exam forms and finally disappeared.

Menma turned around and said.

"Then, let's separate now."

Hearing his words, everyone nodded.

Menma walked away while putting his form aside. As he walked away, he saw Sand Ninjas 'Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro' talking with Team Seven. It was more of a fight than talk.

But since they had their own secret mission, they didn't do much.

"Hey Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura!" Since they were on the way, Menma didn't hesitate to greet them.

"Menma" Naruto excitedly raised his hand and rushed toward Menma, trying to give him a hug but Menma immediately dodged him.

"Menma, since you are back, are we going to participate in this time's Chunin Exam?" Sakura looked at him and asked with some excitement on her face.

"Yeah! I already got the form for the Chunin Exams. Your team's Jonin will give you these once he finally arrives." Knowing the late-king Kakashi, Menma knew that they haven't got the Chunin Form.

"Great! I finally become a Chunin." Naruto excitedly raised his hands and rushed next to Menma.

"I am waiting to fight you in the Chunin Exams." Sasuke left a sentence before he walked away.

"Sasuke wait!" Sakura quickly shouted and turned around.

"Sorry Menma, we have to go."

Naruto didn't leave immediately but rather looked at Menma with intense fighting intent.

Menma laughed and patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry, we will definitely get to battle during the finals."

Saying so, he turned around and left.

"Big Brother Naruto, who was that?" Although Menma saw him, he didn't talk to him. There was a little boy standing next to another little boy and a little girl.

"He…." Naruto stared at Menma's back and continued.

"He is my rival."

Finally, he turned around and walked toward Sasuke.

Konohamaru was stunned. He looked at his friends and asked.

"Shouldn't his rival be that cold guy?"

They shook their shoulders and all three of them were left in confusion.

After a few minutes, Menma reached home. He played with his sister and talked with his mother for a moment and then finally returned to his room.

He walked up to his bed and sat on his knees.

He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. He meditated for a few minutes before he finally stopped. He took out a few scrolls and started writing different symbols, trying to make a seal.

It took him nearly an hour just to finish a single seal. He continued for over six hours and finally completed six seals.

'Even if I do create this until I learn Sage Mode, I can't utilize them against Otsutsuki. But even so, it is a necessary preparation. My Flying Thunder God- Third Stage is finally complete.'

'As long as I learn Sage Mode, I will be able to use this to block the spatial fluctuation by rebounding the spatial coordination. The principle behind this stage is quite simple.'

Menma instantly paused his thoughts and moved downstairs. He found his father sitting in front of the dinner table.

After he sat down, his father looked at him and asked.

"So, will you participate in this Chunin Exam?"

Menma nodded his head.

"Do your best!" Takeru smiled and encouraged his son.

Menma nodded his head.

Soon, Yuki came with two big trays in her hands. She put them in front of father and son. Soon, she brought the third one. She sat in front of her daughter.

Maria was playing on the couch next to the dinner table. This was her position so that she could watch over Maria all the time.

"By the way dad, did you succeed?" Menma turned his eyes at his father and asked.

Takeru nodded his head.

"But, I don't think I will be able to use any Ninjutsu. I can only use chakra to trigger your kunai."

"Don't worry, that's all you need to do now. I will always keep you safe." Menma stopped his hand for a moment and stared at his father with a serious expression.

"Hehe! Then, I am relieved." Takeru was stunned for a moment but quickly laughed.

"Hehehe!" Hearing his laughter, Maria also burst into laughter. Soon, the whole family burst into laughter.

After finishing dinner with his family, he returned to his room. He didn't waste his time and continued on with his thoughts, planning to improve his Flying Thunder God. He also filled up the form.

After a while, he finally fell asleep.

Next Day,

He woke up, finished his breakfast, and finally left the home. He walked toward the meeting point where he met up with the other three.

"I might be moving alone this time." While they were walking, Menma spoke.

Hearing his words, everyone looked at him with confusion.

"Since everyone has a group of three, it would be a disadvantage to other teams if we have four. Besides, my strength is color to that of Jonin. So, I might not be able to participate with you three." Menma explained.

"But, it should be me who shouldn't participate in the Chunin with this team." Murasaki quickly spoke.

Menma shook his head and said.

"The reason why I can be alone is that I am strong enough to cross this Chunin Exam alone. But, you are not. Besides, you have been in this team much longer than me."

"Anyway, you don't have to feel bad about it. The first test will surely be a Written Examination while the second test will be a team battle in the Death Forest where you need to get the scroll from your enemy."

"As for the third and final test, it will be one on one. That means only we need a team for only one test unless you have no theoretical knowledge. So, for me, it is no difference."

Hearing his words, everyone looked at him with incredible eyes.

"How do you know so clearly?"

"Isn't it simple? Konoha likes to make the Chunin Exams this way." Menma shrugged his shoulders and explained.

"Is that so?" Okinawa touched his chin. He patted Menma's shoulder afterward and said.

"Then, I will wait for you in the finals."

"Haha! You need to cross the first two exams before that." Menma burst into laughter once again and spoke.

"Anyway, let's hurry up! We need to reach the exemption hall soon." Jeme urged them as she had already reached quite ahead of them.

"Wait, wait! We are coming." Okinawa and Murasaki quickly ran toward her.

Seeing the three of them walking side by side, Menma smiled. It seems like they have forged quite a deep friendship.

"Menma!" Jeme shouted once again and startled him. Menma shook his head and hurriedly followed.
