"Having fun, My Lady?" He asked amused.
She looked up a little surprised to see him. "I would be if they would leave me alone." She said indicating the Head Chamberlain and the royal gardeners.
A strand of hair fell onto her forehead. As she tried to push it back, she only succeeded in streaking dirt on her cheek. Daimon reached out to tuck the stray strand behind her ear then gently wiped the streak of soil from her cheek. They were both surprised at the heat that innocuous gesture ignited in them both. He hastily withdrew his hand and cleared his throat uncomfortably.
"What are you planting?" he inquired in an attempt to turn their focus.
"Just some of my favorite plants." She said nonchalantly.
"But you're planting poisonous plants!" the Head Gardner exclaimed before quickly clamping his hands over his mouth and glancing fearfully at the Crown Prince. He loved flowers, but he had no intention of being planted in his beloved garden with them any time soon.
