"What will we do tomorrow, Dear Husband?" Rowena asked when he returned.
She did not ask him where he had been or what he had been doing.
Daimon told her some of it anyway. "I visited my father. I must attend to more Imperial Affairs. Apparently, me being married means I get to handle the tasks of governance whilst my father entertains his concubines."
She frowned at the word 'concubines' but didn't comment on it. But she needn't worry about him taking concubines. He wanted nothing to do with them.
"I'm not surprised. Still, I'd like to join you if and when you so desire."
He smiled. "I'm afraid I can't save you from your lessons this week."
She nodded and then they went to sleep.

Just before breakfast on Tuesday morning, the Crown Prince was informed of a change in plans. The delegation from the newly-acquired vassal-state of Cyra had arrived and everything was rearranged to accommodate them.
