Chapter 12 - Acceptance?

(AN: Starting this chapter, I might put again the descriptions of each character and some might change, and also, I will not count the earned Genetic Points any more but the summons will still count and might expect more r-18 sooner.)

Inside a building where people come and go, some were talking while others were looking at a board were papers on it.

Because of the 'monster wave' happening outside. The Adventurers Guild got busy, the staffs were doing their best to evacuate the people.

But minutes later, the soldiers guaranteed them that is a new 'ally' that has come. Rumors already about the handsome man with the out of this world creatures that they thought 'New Breeds' were attacking.

A beautiful girl that is often called "cute" as well. She is a slender girl of short stature, purple eyes, fair skin, and long, curly red that makes men looked at her with affection instantly while women respect her because even thou she is beautiful, she was a kind and cheerful young lady.

Rose is standing near the receptionist table while organizing some papers putting it here and there. A woman walks towards her and touches her shoulders to catch her attention. Rose looked at her turning her head and paid attention.

"Rose, let's relax and grab some tea okay? That was eventful. I got scared as well." Leafa said in a gentle and calming expression.

Rose nodded her head and held Leafa's hand gently.

Leafa is well-known in Ashbridge for not only her sunny personality but also for her looks. A tall, slender, and voluptuous Forest Elf, she has long, wavy hair, hazel colored eyes, and a wide mouth used for smiling. Like all Elves, she sports pointy ears, although hers tend to be hidden under her hair. Some nobles wanted to marry her but she politely refused. The nobles can't do anything because of the mysterious guild leader that only the king and few people knew.

"What?!"

"So handsome!"

"Amazing!"

A commotion started to happen outside the guild that grabs the attention of the people inside, some started to go out just outside the door and started to praise as well, and a few seconds later. A man rushed inside, going towards Rose and Leafa's direction.

"Miss Rose! Miss Leafa!" The man started to huff while sweat running on his forehead. The two beautiful ladies told him to calm down.

"Edward! Edward is back!"

The moment the man say this, the crowd near the door opened a path to let someone enter.

Followed by the Royal Griffin that manage to penetrate the huge door.

'Thud'

Rose dropped the papers she was carrying, she was stunned, Leafa also opened her mouth agape and was shocked! He looks the same but different?!

"Edward? Is that really you?" Rose asked with her voice sounded like she is going to cry. She slowly walked towards the man as waiting for something.

Edward, no. Ryze gave a smile and a nod. The beautiful woman rushed in God knows how fast and hopped towards the man. Ryze then softened his defense so that Rose will not get injured by the impact of his hardened body.

Hugging Ryze tightly, Rose suddenly kissed him in front of so many people. Some were happy and delighted that the receptionist has finally met her long-awaited lover.

But, Ryze felt bad about it. Not because of the kiss, but because the man she was kissing right now was not her lover. Edward is already dead and a different man was inside of his body, from soul to mind.

'Am I doing the right thing? Even thou I'm a playboy, I felt bad about it...' He thought while caressing Rose back to calm her down. Her kissed didn't slow down that she almost wanted to devour Ryze's lips. The people got awkward staring at them and looked to the other side, waiting for them to finish.

A few minutes later, Rose finally calmed down. She started at Ryze with longing for him, fear to lose him again, and an endless love.

Ryze sighed in his thought and decided to accept this and be the man that Rose knows in the past But! Ryze carried Rose in a princess carry and excused himself to the people around them.

Going at the corner of the guild that people will not hear them. Ryze held Rose's face gently and wiped her tears. She didn't cry yet. She is holding it.

"Rose, I decided to change my name and people call me Ryze now... I don't know if you will accept the new me. Not just my name. I may be the man you used to love but... I'm a different man right now. It might be complicated for now, but I know you are a smart woman. While time passes, I comprehend you will understand what I am saying right now... I hope you understand." Ryze lowered her head, saying those words in a gentle tone.

"Is this because you have experienced hard trials in your life? Is it because of the people who hurt you that you decided to change?"

Sometimes, people say white lies, No person is clean. But, Ryze understood that Rose will accept the new him in the future. Rose is a smart and understandable person. Even Ryze is in confusion right now. Things happened and he can't do anything about it.

Saying that the man she loved, died and resurrected again with a different person using his body. Foolish right? This is the only reason that Ryze can think of.

Ryze was expecting a shock or stunned expression from Rose but instead, he saw a loving smile from her while staring at his eyes with affection and as expected, Rose manage to made Ryze shocked, this woman is really different.

"So you mean you are a different person right now? Do you want to go back from the start?" With a silly stunned expression that causes Rose to make a 'fufu' laugh. Ryze can only nod his head and was astonished by Rose.

"I have waited for four months, cried for four months, and sometimes accepted that you have died." Rose tiptoed and kissed Ryze once again, "No matter who you are right now or how you have changed. I will still love you with all my heart. Ryze..."

Once again, they indulge themselves with a passionate kiss that Ryze decided to accept and reciprocate her advances.
