The Emperor's Plan

As evander begrudgingly left the room armista's smile faded and his face showed worry and nervousness. Lucious was hesitant to ask what's wrong but before he could say anything armista spoke first

Armista: Lucious.

Lucious: Yes grand Duke?

Armista: We have to talk...

Lucious: What is it grand Duke? What is it about?

Armista: I have received news from my friend hyacinth. Hyacinth is the emperor of the Gillian empire your sisters new husband...

Lucious: What? My sister remarried?

Armista: She didn't just remarry. Your sister poisoned her first husband and took over her deceased husbands empire with your father.

Lucious: No... My sister would never do that. I know her very well she could never!

Armista: Well I'm sorry to tell you but it's all been confirmed. And at the time you were conquering our enemy empire your father and sister tried to takeover hyacinths empire and force hyacinth to abdicate.

Lucious: What happened?!

Armista: Your father and sister failed their attacks and hyacinth is alive and well. Your father escaped and your sisters been exiled to a far away province. Your sister is now guarded 24/7 by 200,000 guards with her. Your father on the other hand is now back at your empire but he is weak and frail now.

Lucious: My sister... He poisoned my beloved sisters mind. What now...?

Lucious felt very guilty. He couldn't send a letter to his sister in time. He felt useless. His sister was now exiled to a far away province and he could do nothing to save her. His rage grew towards his father. He was mad because he never knew that his father would sacrifice his sister. The grand Duke made sure to comfort him. But he knew he could do nothing to help lucious. But he thought he could actually help. He told lucious that he will plant spies over to Phobos's empire to know the conditions there and that he will send letters to hyacinth to know of his sisters condition. Lucious immediately agreed and hugged the grand Duke. Armista told lucious to rest well as there will be a banquet that evening as a celebration for the victory. Lucious agreed and went to his chambers to rest. Everything was now going well for lucious. Now he and the grand Duke are beginning to rebuild their trust in one another and evander will soon enough be able to help lucious in his worries.

Emperor Kishendren planned the banquet not just to celebrate the victory against his rivals but also to show off his beautiful daughter. The emperor had only 1 beautiful daughter and she was at the marriageable age at the time. At the current time the marriageable age for a man is 18 while for girls it is 15. It is to make sure the girls are as pure as possible and is still a virgin before marriage. The emperor Kishendren wanted to pair his daughter up to either lucious or evander but he also wanted marriage proposals from other dukes and princes from foreign empire's. He planned the banquet to be the most beautiful and most perfect banquet ever. He gifted his daughter the most beautiful jewels he could find. The emperor adored her daughter. She was his only daughter at his age of 45. He had 3 sons already and only 1 daughter. His wife died because of an illness and the child that resembled his wife the most was his one and only daughter. He never took a mistress in honor for his beloved dead wife. He was excited ᕕ(՞ᗜ՞)ᕗ for the banquet but also nervous (｡>﹏<｡) because he wasn't sure if really wanted to marry off his beloved daughter. Either way had already announced the banquet and there was no more turning back. < p>

His daughter was

Princess Amaris Elara Aysel Tymon Imperial. She was a very beautiful youthful girl. She loved reading, fashion, and studying new languages. But she was just 15. She was nervous about the banquet. She knew that her father would soon marry her off. She was scared to marry an old scary man but she also felt safe as she had 3 strong well built big brothers to protect her. She just hoped that if she were to marry someone it would be someone who would respect her wishes and not only use her as a baby making machine.

And night then came. The banquet soon started. The banquet Hall was beautiful and and elegantly designed. Lucious was very bored of the banquet. He just wanted to get to work already to climb up the ranks more. So he went to the emperor and requested his leave

Kishendren: Oh! Lucious are you enjoying yourself?

Lucious: Yes your majesty. But I would like to request my leave for tonight so I can finish my leftover work.

Kishendren: Oh no you don't. Your not going anywhere yet the party just started

Kishendren: Come on lucious! Do it for me. Stay and enjoy yourself just this once! Enough of this now your not going anywhere ᕦ( ᐛ )ᕡ

Lucious failed sadly but he thought the emperor was right. He needed a break anyways and he needed time to socialize to influential people. He started going around the banquet making conversations with the enjoys, dukes, Viscounts, barons even to influential merchants. He was praised left and right by those influential people and his plan was working. He was getting close to rising the ranks again and being more influential. He just had to pull them all at his side and manipulate them to trust him and support him. He talked about his campaign and how he conquered his rival empire. He talked on the military formations and tactics he used. The grand Duke was beside him also helping him gain the confidence in front of some of the most influential people in the banquet. The night was beautiful and bright. The moon was in full bloom and everyone was enjoying the night. And then the emperor and his sons announced the arrival of his only beloved daughter...
