The Failed Coupling

And there she entered. Amaris Emperor Kishendren's one and only daughter entered the banquet. She had beautiful brown hair, deep blue eyes, perfect fair skin and a petite build. She was wearing an elegant gold gown studied with diamond's and jewels. As she was greeted by her father.

Kishendren: Amaris! My sweet girl! How beautiful you are.

Amaris: Thank you father. What an elegant banquet you have planned.

Kishendren: Of course! Of course! Anything for you my dear. You are my beloved daughter and you shall have the grandest and most valuable items I get ahold of!

Amaris: Thanks dad...

Kishendren: Enough of this now my dear let's enjoy the party ٩( ᐛ )( ᐖ )۶

Amaris made her way at the banquet Hall. She had manys suitors but she was very cautious because of her young age. She made sure that she was close by her brothers. Her brothers also made sure she was in sight. She had both young and old suitors from other empires or dukes or viscounts in their own empire. Lucious on the other hand was still busy talking to the envoys and didn't waste time as in his mind the princess wouldn't notice him. He was wrong. While lucious was talking to some of the envoys and dukes the princess noticed him from a mile away. He caught her attention with his good looks and well built body. He was well dressed and his hair was perfectly styled. She was wondering who he was as she's never seen him before. She was so intrigued that she didn't even notice her eldest brother behind him.

Prince Damien Kamil Eric Tymon Imperial,

The eldest out of the emperor's 3 sons. He was known as a very striking warrior prince. He is very active in military campaigns and was known for his victories in battle. To amaris he is a very gentle big brother. He knew how to control and make sure his brothers were in place. He was strict with them. But with amaris he was a big teddy bear who would give her lavish gifts from his victories. Damien has heard of lucious's victories and he was quite impressed. It was the first time he's seen lucious for the first time and he couldn't lie he was impressed by lucious's massive build and charms. He saw lucious as a competent ally to have. He had respect for lucious as lucious has for him.

Damien gently tapped amaris's shoulders and she turned around in shock. She saw her big brother giving her a bright and charming smile. She gave back a warm smile of her own. She was nervous and Damien noticed it quickly. Hence he spoke

Damien: Amaris are you alright?

Amaris: Oh! Ye-yes brother! Σ(ﾟДﾟ;)

Damien: I see? Anyways you seem to be looking at Duke Lucious of the 3rd rank. Are you interested in him?

Amaris: He's a Duke?

Damien: It seems you weren't informed. You are currently looking at Duke Lucious. He lead our army in battle and defeated our enemies. He was just promoted from an earl to a Duke so you probably weren't informed yet.

Amaris: A Duke huh? What was his name again?

Damien: His name is Lucious.

Amaris: Lucious? I don't remember any of the noble houses having a man named lucious as an heir or as a descendant.

Damien: That's because he's not from here.

Amaris: What? Is he a Duke from another state?

Damien: Not really little sister.

Amaris: Then what?

Damien: Don't you remember the story of Emperor Phobos's Bastard son?

Amaris: What...? That's him?!

Damien: Yes amaris. He is Prince Keiran Lucious Nashanth Blackfyre. He is the only son and heir of Emperor phobos. But he is a bastard. It was rumoured he found out of his father's tyranny and argued with him. He was exiled to never return to the palace walls.

Amaris: That sounds terrible!

Damien: It is. But at least now he has a home here. He has gained a standing in fathers court and is now known as a great warrior.

Amaris: Well I guess so...

Damien: Cheer up now at least he's better now.

Amaris: Well I can't say I like him just yet... Let's just say he's quite interesting and he has a nice face...

As the night ends amaris tells her father she wasn't ready to marry. Kishendren was disappointed and embarrassed because many suitors were from other empires and kingdoms. But kishendren knew his daughter. He respected decision begrudgingly but he made sure that no one will speak Ill of his beloved daughter. Lucious didn't even show interest on the princess. Yes she was pretty but to him she wasn't important at all. All he cared about was his sister. In a few months he'll be 19 and time is ticking. To him once he turned 19 he needs to be popular already to pull influential people to his side. Now he just needs to keep getting promoted. The grand Duke suggested lucious to stop the campaigning for now and instead study about past emperor and conquerors. And so he did. He read about many rulers from different empires. He read about many emperors and most were alike. They were either insane, tyrannical, weak, useless and were basically puppets. He read about the dynasties and how the rulers slowly grew more corrupted and weak. He was disgusted on how the emperor's ruled but there was always one generation of rulers that differed... The founders of the dynasties. He read about how the founders of the dynasties were always the prime of the empire. How they ruled and expanded their empires. How they trained in martial arts and studied strategies made by their ancestors. He learned on how the founders acted and how they thinked. He wanted to be a founder of a new empire. And he will...
