A Plea for Help

As the letter was sent off lucious then sat down at his desk and decided to read once again. Page 346 of "The Emperor of Hell"

"An emperor should know who he should go and who should stay. One wrong move and the empire will fall within a blink of an eye."

It was true. He needed people he could trust but currently luck wasn't on his side. Two of his allies second prind rahim and princess amaris weren't really allies he could trust anymore. He needed more and more allies as the time passes. He is still very popular among the common folk and other empires and now he decided to take advantage of this. After a week of princess amaris and lucious's falling out Emperor kishendren was very quite. It seemed as if he was just a stuatue sitting while at court because he was just too silent. The ministers were so worried about the emperor as 2 of Trystia empires princes were not at the capital and that could mean rebellion when the emperor dies. And yet they haven't received a message yet on where prince Rahim was. They didn't even know if prince Rahim has arrived at nakusa...

A few days ago when princess amaris received the letter she was enraged. To the princess lucious was just an exiled Bastard son with no standing. But after the week has passed she grew a bit unhinged. She was always staring at nothing and she always seemed nervous and scared. Both the princess and the emperor are now acting very strange. They didn't know what was wrong with the princess or the emperor. They had to make a move and they decided to go to Duke armista for help. They sent the grand Duke a letter containing a plea for help.

"Grand Duke Armista,

This letter is sent to you by the emperor's imperial Court. Grand Duke we need your assistance urgently. Since prince Rahim left to go to nakusa to bring back prince Damien the emperor hasn't been acting too well. In addition princess amaris is also acting quite strange. Both of them are always very quite and they always seem so nervous about every little movement we make. The two princes are not here at the capital right now and this makes the empire vulnerable considering the emperor's current condition. Please report back to the emperor's court and give us your assistance.

Once the Duke received the letter he set an appointment for him and the head of the imperial warfare to talk about what's happening in the emperor's court as the grand Duke has been busy at his own home resting after the many battles he's been through. They decided to meet after 3 days to talk about what to do to prevent rebellion against the emperor.

The Head of Imperial Warfare,

Maximus Rhyfel Ezekiel Sayson was the Head of Imperial Warfare. He came from the Sayson clan. A clan focussed in producing Trystia empires best warriors. And Maximus was one of those many great warriors. Just like lucious he had many many victories when he was young and he got promoted to being the Duke of the first rank at only 23. When he first heard about lucious he was quite impressed with the boy. He actually wanted to mentor the boy personally but he was also very hesitant so he just decided not to offer his mentorship. He and the grand Duke were partners when they were younger so they were a bit close. Duke Maximus of the First rank was a very tall man. He had broad shoulders and he had a pretty good build. His hair was already white but his hair was still lush. His hair might've been white but he sure knew how to take good care of his looks and his skills. He had 2 sons and a daughter. His wife was the grand Duke armista's younger sister.

3 days later...

Maximus: Armista! It's been a long time!

Armista: Yes max! We've really come a long way now.

Maximus: You seem to be as young as ever.

Armista: You flatter me so old friend. As much as I would like to chat I think we have more important matters we need to talk about.

Maximus: Yes armista. We need to talk about the future of the empire. Emperor kishendren hasn't been doing really well at court.

Armista: What? What's wrong with the emperor?

Maximus: Since prince Rahim left the emperor was already acting a bit strange.

Armista: Strange? What do you mean strange?

Maximus: He would always daze around at nothing. He was always quite and nervous about every little movement in the court.

Armista: What? Kishendren was never like that when we were young max. What do you think is the main reason?

Maximus: As I said it began when both princes left the capital. And that's the most likely reason.

Armista: It's figured then. I'll send my men to nakusa to find prince Rahim and prince Damien max. But I'll need your men's help too.

Maximus: As always armista I'll support your decision.

Armista: Thank you old friend. Now let's get back our old emperor...

Grand Duke Armista and Duke of the First Rank Maximus then discussed what they were going to do. They've decided to just go to nakusa themselves with plenty of men. But this plan was too risky as no one was protecting the emperor and his 2 children in the capital. They were worried they're friend might get attacked while they were gone. To armista's surprise Duke Maximus recommended placing his adoptive son in charge of the empire while they were in nakusa. And so it was greed. When the two dukes left for nakusa the power in protecting the emperor was now solved. Grand Duke armista and Duke Maximus appointed the popular grand Duke of the second rank to be in charge. Lucious was now powerful...
